Stampin' Up! Spooky Night, Spooky Cat, Graveyard Gate, Layering Ovals - IV

It's Solar Eclipse day!  Here in Michigan, we will only be able to see about 80% of the eclipse.  It's nice and sunny with some clouds today.  I hope the clouds don't hinder this beautiful sight.

We went to a bonfire Saturday Night at one of our good friends' house.  It was a BIG get together of friends and some we haven't seen in quite some time.  We chatted, roasted hotdogs and even roasted marshmallows for Smores.  It was a lot of fun and, again, so nice to get out of the house.

We also went fishing yesterday.  We started at our normal spot and nothing was biting so we moved to deeper water.  We figured it was just too hot for the fish and thought that they had moved to cooler, deeper water.  And, we thought right.  That was BIG fun too!

My share for today is another 4" x 4" Halloween Card using some of Stampin' Up's new Holiday Catalog products.

Let's take a look:

My Card Base is Basic Black Cardstock cut at 4" x 8" and scored and folded at 4" for a side opening Card.

My Card Front Panel is Old Olive Cardstock cut at 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and adhered to my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I decided on the Moon with the Tree pattern again from the new Spooky Night Designer Series Paper.  You can get 16 of the Moon and Tree 3" x 3" Panels when cutting the one sheet of 12" x 12" paper in your trimmer.  That makes for some awesome Halloween Party or Autumn 3" x 3" Cards.  Today, I'm making the Cards 4" x 4".

Once I had my 3" x 3" Panel trimmed out, I used SU's new Spooky Cat Stamp Set to Stamp my Owl with Smokey Slate Ink and the Owls' Beak and Talons with Pumpkin Pie Ink.

I fussy cut out two of the Hats (one for the inside of my Card) from the Spooky Night DSP Hat Patterned Paper and adhered it to the Owls' Head with Stampin' Dimensionals.  So cute!!!

Instead of using SU's new Black Jewel Rhinestones for the Owls' eye's, I decided to try two Sequins from SU's new Black Mini Sequin Trim.  I put two tiny dabs of Glue from the Fine Tip Glue Bottle onto each of the Owls' eye's, put a Sequin on each eye and then another small dab of Glue from the Fine Tip Glue Bottle.

I sponged the right side of the Moon with a little Daffodil Delight Ink.

Using SU's new Graveyard Gate Stamp Set, I stamped the Bat stamp twice in Basic Black Archival Ink as shown in the picture above.

I adhered my Moon and Tree Panel to my Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using SU's Spooky Cat Stamp Set, I stamped the Rat stamp in Smokey Slate Ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock, fussy cut him out and adhered him to my Card as shown in the picture above.

I used a Black Fine Tip Pen to add an eye to the Rat.

Using SU's Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, I die cut the Largest Oval from Old Olive Cardstock.

Using SU's Spooky Cat Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink and adhered the Oval to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I LOVE this Sentiment with the Owl eyes.

I adhered the second fussy cut Hat above the Sentiment with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

I hope you can come back tomorrow and the next day when I'll be sharing one more Card, the Envelopes I made and a Wrap Around Holder for four of the 4" x 4" Cards and Envelopes.

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.
