Stampin' Up Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit - Gift Card Holder

O.K.  I know...I'm going in reverse again!  Instead of getting right to the cards that you can make with the Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin Kit called Many Manly Occasions (Monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit for May of 2016), I went right for making a couple of 3D projects.

So, today's share will be a 3D Gift Card Holder project that I designed using a card, a piece of the orange corrugated cardstock and the stamp set from the kit.  I made the flowers using SU's Flower Patch Stamp Set and the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits.  The rest of the items on the Gift Card Holder are from my personal SU stash.

Let's take a look:

I trimmed the top part of the lattice design from the card at 3-1/4".  Using a thin strip of Tear & Tape, I adhered each long side together.  (I stuck my snips inside the holder as I taped it so it gave more room for the corrugated paper and gift card to fit inside - it gave some height to the opening).

I stamped the sentiment from the Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin kit in Night of Navy Ink on SU Whisper White Cardstock.  (The kit includes Photo Polymer Stamps so I was able to 'curve' the sentiment on my block and then stamp it curved.)

Using SU's new Duet Banner Punch (available to order tomorrow), I punched out the sentiment, went around the entire outside with my SU Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker and adhered it to the very top of my Gift Card Holder with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped a bunch of flowers from SU's Flower Patch Stamp Set using SU's Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy and Pear Pizzazz Inks.  I die cut all the image's using SU's Flower Fair Framelits, used my Petal Roller Tool to curl and give dimensions to the flower petals and leaves and adhered them to the slats in the lattice design using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

The Enamel Dots are retiring from SU's Occasions Catalog.  They may still be available to order today.

I trimmed out the Orange Corrugated Cardstock at 2-3/4" x 3-7/8" and rounded all four corners with my SU Corner Rounder Punch.

I trimmed out  a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock at 1" x 11" and flagged each end with SU's Triple Banner Punch.  I wrapped the piece unevenly and on an angle around the Orange Corrugated paper and the Gift Card to use it as a Pull.  (So you can grab the two flagged ends to pull the Gift Card out of the holder.)

I added a flower and a leaf to the end of the Night of Navy Cardstock piece.

I really like how this 3D project turned out!

That's all I have for today.  Please come back tomorrow when I will share another 3D project using SU's Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Have a great day!

The below picture was intentionally left at this size as I am entering my project in the Paper Pumpkin Challenge at http://mypumpkinchallenge.blogspot.com/ when the challenge opens up in June.

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!

Stampin' Up Sneak Peek 2016-2017 Catalog Love & Affection Pop of Paradise Swirly Scribbles Cards, Tags, Card Box IV

Another hot and sticky day in Michigan with the temp's getting into the low to mid 80's again!!!  It's been like this every day this week and supposedly through this Sunday.  There's been pop up thunderstorms almost every night.  Tonight there is supposed to be some storms on the more severe side.  Oh boy!  It's more like Michigan's July weather in May.

My Wisteria Vine, Azalea and Clematis are blooming and they are oh-so-gorgeous!  I've waited over 10 years for that Wisteria to bloom.  The blooms are like a foot long and so pretty!  I'll try to take some pictures of them to share with you on Monday.

Well, this week I've shared a series of cards and tags that I designed with some of the new product from Stampin' Up's 2016-2017 Catalog.  Today, I am sharing the gift card box that I made that was designed by Crafty Caroline at http://www.craftycarolinecreates.com/2016/05/handmade-card-gift-set-using-rose .  Caroline used SU's Rose Wonder Stamp Set and Rose Garden Thinlits to embellish her girt card box.

I designed my cards, tags and gift card box using SU's new Pop of Paradise, Love & Affection Stamp Sets and new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and Sweet & Sassy Framelits and Watercolor Wash Stamp Set and Rose Garden Thinlits that are returning from last years catalog.  I also used some of SU's new Designer Washi Tape called Affectionately Yours and Playful Palette and SU's Floral Frames Collection Framelits that are on the retiring list.  =(

First, let's recap my blog post series for the week and then take a look at the card gift box:

Here's a recap:  My 3" x 3" cards using SU's new Pop of Paradise and Love & Affection Stamp Sets and Sweet & Sassy Heart Framelits.

The inside of the 3" x 3" cards with a piece of SU's new Designer Washi Tape called Affectionately Yours.

 The 3" x 3" cards and envelopes.

The A2 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" cards using Pop of Paradise, Love & Affection and Watercolor Wash Stamp Sets.  (The palm tree trunk is a leftover 'negative' piece from SU's Swirly Scribbles Thinlits after die cutting the long piece).

The tags using SU's Rose Garden Thinlits for the frame with the sentiment and more new Designer Washi Tape called Affectionately Yours and Playful Palette.

The ribbon is SU's new 2016-2018 In-color Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.

AND......

The card gift box!  LOVE, LOVE and LOVE!!!

For the front of the gift card box, I adhered SU's 5/8" White Satin Ribbon (Retiring).

I die cut the long piece from SU's new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits die from SU's Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip Cardstock.  I pieced them together (except the top two pieces) and adhered some of SU's Pool Party Glitter Ribbon (Retiring) under the top two 'negative' spaces with tape.  I used the ribbon to make it look like water glistening in the sun as I was going for the flamingo stranded on an island.  I adhered this piece to the bottom front of the gift card box using Stampin' Dimensionals.

See this weeks daily blog posts to see how all the embellishment pieces were made.

Here's a picture of the inside of my gift card box.  Isn't it just so cool!!!

There's a long, full length pocket across the bottom that holds my A2 cards and envelopes.

There are two smaller pockets adhered to the long, full length pocket that hold my tags and 3" x 3" cards.

I covered the splice in the ribbon going around the top flap of the gift card box with two of the BIG leafs and the Hello sentiment from SU's new Pop of Paradise Stamp Set.

The picture above is a close up of the pockets filled with all the goodies I created.

I adhered another BIG leaf and a flower that I made from SU's Love & Affection Stamp Set to the front of the tag pocket.

I adhered the long palm frond and another flower to the 3" x 3" card pocket.

I used Crystal Effects and the Clear Wink of Stella Brush around my flower centers.

SU's Basic Jewel Rhinestones were randomly adhered on all the cards, tags and gift card box.

I struggle with tying bows with my arthritic fingers; but, I think I did pretty good with this one and I didn't even have to fidget with it!  That makes me even more happy!

I'm so thrilled with the way my entire project turned out!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Have a great weekend!

Stampin' Up Sneak Peek 2016-2017 Catalog Love & Affection Pop of Paradise Cards, Tags, Card Box III

And, another great day outside in Michigan today.  Keep 'em coming!  I'm Lovin' it!!!

I'll be sharing some really cool cards and tags that I designed this week and a card box on Friday that I found a video for.  I so LOVE how my project came together and the colors are just  fabulous!

Lets take a look at the tags that I designed:

I'm so LOVIN' Stampin' Up's new Pop of Paradise Stamp Set and all the new 2016-2018 In-Colors.  They're just so fabulous and fun!!!

The new Ruched Ribbons in the new In-Color colors are awesome and so easy to tie and make pretty bows.

O.K. On with my tag...My tag is 3-3/4" x 2" and punched with SU's Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

I laid down a strip of SU's new Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape at the bottom of my tag.  These colors are the new In-Colors called Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo.

I laid another piece of SU's new DWT called Affectionately Yours in Crushed Cucumber and White!  I LOVE how the pink's show through the white flowers.

I stamped the sentiment from SU's new Pop of Paradise Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock.

I die cut the sentiment out using the frame die from SU's Rose Garden Thinlits Dies (so glad this is returning in the new catalog).  I attached the frame die cut to my tag using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using the ink to stamp technique, I colored the pineapple stamp using Stampin' Write Markers in Crushed Curry and Cucumber Crush, huffed on the stamp and stamped it on Very Vanilla Cardstock.  I fussy cut it out and adhered it to my tag using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I stamped the BIG leaf in Cucumber Crush Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, fussy cut it out and adhered it to my tag using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I randomly adhered 3 Basic Jewel Rhinestones to my tag.

I attached a piece of SU's new 3/8" Ruched Ribbon in Sweet Sugarplum to the top of my tag.

Here's a Lynn Sneak Peek of the tag box where the tags fit in the card and tag box that I'll be sharing with you tomorrow!

That's all I have for today!  Please come back tomorrow when I'll share the rest of my project.

Have a great day!
