My Husband and I are going to the Midland County Fair with our friends. My one good friend has had bone cancer and has come a long, long way with her chemo treatments. She is now taking a chemo pill and her numbers are good. I owe a lot of thanks to a lot of people for all the thoughts and prayers. So, thank you to all of those who prayed for her. It will be so nice to see her get out and about again!
My share for today is a 4" x 4" Spooky Cat Card. Let's take a look:
My Card Base is Basic Black Cardstock cut at 4" x 8" and scored and folded at 4" for a side opening Card.
My Card Front Panel is Old Olive Cardstock cut at 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and adhered to my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I decided on the Moon with the Tree pattern again from the new Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. You can get 16 of the Moon and Tree 3" x 3" Panels when cutting the one sheet of 12" x 12" paper in your trimmer. That makes for some awesome Halloween Party 3" x 3" Cards. Today, I'm making the Cards 4" x 4".
Once I had my 3" x 3" Panel trimmed out, I sponged the Moon with a little Daffodil Delight Ink.
Using SU's new Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits Dies, I die cut out the Plus Signs from Old Olive Cardstock and adhered 3 of them to the Moon with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above. I thought they looked like the Spots on the Moon.
I then adhered the 3" x 3" Moon and Tree Panel to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
How cute is this Cat...not Spooky at all! I used SU's new Cat Punch to punch one of the Cats out from the Cat Patterned paper from SU's new Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. I'm in LOVE with the patterns in this paper.
I used my Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker to color the Cats' eye's.
I fussy cut out two of the Hats (one for the inside) from the Spooky Night DSP Hat Patterned Paper and adhered it to the Cats' Head with Mono Multi Purpose Glue. So cute!!!
I tied a length of Linen Thread around the Cats' neck and into a Bow.
I adhered one of the new Enamel Glitter Dots to the Brim of the Cats' Hat.
I adhered the Cat to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals leaving the Cats' Tail free of adhesive.
Using SU's Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, I die cut the Largest Oval from Old Olive Cardstock.
Using SU's new Graveyard Gate Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto the Oval and adhered it to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I adhered the second fussy cut Hat to the top of the Oval with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
Again, Stampin' Up just made it too easy to create these Cards.
That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
