Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek - Honeycomb Happiness

Are we all ready to bring in the New Year?  The grocery stores are packed and the lines are so long with people picking up their last minute items for their New Year's parties!  We stayed away and just went to pick up our scripts at the pharmacy.  We even took the back roads in to town to avoid the traffic.

Stampin' Up's Sale-A-Bration starts January 4th.  For every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping), you get one FREE product from the SAB brochure.  So, today I thought I'd show another card using SU's SAB Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set.  Let's take a look:

I just LOVE that little chick!  He makes me smile BIG!!!  The little Chick and the Hang In There sentiment on the balloon are from the new SU SAB Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set.

My card base is SU Melon Mambo Card Stock and my front panel is the new SU Shine On Designer Series Paper.  I LOVE the pressed silver foil on this paper.  I used a strip of Bontanical Gardens DSP for the grass at the bottom of my card.

My balloons were punched from SU Mint Macaron Card Stock using the new Balloon Bouquet Punch, stamped with the little stars from the new SU Balloon Celebrations Stamp Set and sponged with SU Mint Macaron Ink.

I popped the balloons up with Stampin' Dimensionals and tied them under the little Chick's wing using the new Two-Tone Baker's Twine in Mint Macaron and Basic Black.  I also popped up the little Chick and the Grass.

The flowers are from the new SU Bear Hugs Stamp Set.  I used the Marker to Stamp Technique and used SU Mossy Meadow, Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers to color my stamp.  I then 'huffed' on my stamp to rejuvenate the ink and stamped it on SU Whisper White Card Stock.

Pictured above is the inside of my card.  One of my New Year's Resolutions is to finish the inside of all my cards (except the sentiment) as I make them.  Normally, not finishing the inside of my cards happens when my time is limited and then when I need the card, I'm scrambling to find a matching DSP to finish off the inside.  I'll get better now that the holidays are over!  =)

I used another piece of the Botanical Gardens DSP on the inside of my card and punched two of the corners with the SU Curvy Corner Trio Punch.

I stamped the sentiment from SU's new Suite Sayings Stamp Set in Black Archival Ink on SU Whisper White Card Stock.

I punched two more balloons, well, one and three quarters, from SU Mint Macaron Card Stock with the Balloon Bouquet Punch and adhered them to the inside of my card.

I'm really happy with the way this card turned out!!!

Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek - Botanical Rose Wonder

Goodness, we got more rain last night and then it turned to a very light, fine snow.  Now, it is snowing like crazy with those BIG, HUGE snowflakes.  I do have to admit that it looks pretty with all the snow stuck to the trees.  The roads were really good this morning once we got out to a paved road.

Sympathy cards are not one of my FAVE cards to create; but, we all must make them!  Today, I'll share a Sympathy card that I made using Stampin' Up's Botanical Builder Framelits, Botanical Garden Designer Series Paper and Rose Wonder Stamp Set.  Let's take a look:

I'm just LOVIN' the colors in the Botanical Gardens DSP.  So bold and so pretty!  Gorgeous!

In the picture above, I die cut the larger flower in the Botanical Builder Framelits and then used my petal roller to curl the inside petals.  Then I die cut the smaller flower and thought they looked like butterflies so I added some Basic Black Baker's Twine for each butterflies antenna's.  I thought they looked cute perched atop each flower.

The sentiments on the inside and outside of my card are from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set.  It's a beautiful stamp set with coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits Dies and they have a very LARGE rose!  Stay tuned for a Rose card in the near future!!!

Pictured above is the inside of my card.  Clean and Simple.

Stampin' Up Farmer's Market 8"x8" Artichoke Dip Recipe Swap Card

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas!

My Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, asked me to participate in a Stampin' Up 8"x8" Recipe Card Swap.  I was a little nervous as I've not done anything like this before.  The recipe's are to go on a flip stand from Recollections; but, I can't find one anywhere.  I think they are retired so I'll have to find a certain size album to fit them in or something.

So, below is a FAVE recipe for Cheesy Artichoke Dip from my Niece, Amy.  Thought you might like to make it for your Holiday parties!

With the help of my Niece Amy's recipe, here is what I created:

Stampin' Up has a gorgeous Designer Series Paper called Farmers Market.  So, I immediately chose the Artichoke paper for embellishing.  I fussy cut a lot of the little artichokes and used them on the bottom and in the bowl of dip for embellishments.

For my base, I used SU's Blackberry Bliss Cardstock which one of the coordinating colors that goes with the SU Farmers Market DSP.

I stamped the bowl and spoon (doing a lot of masking) from Stampin' Up's Get Well Soup Stamp Set found on page 23 of the SU Annual Catalog.

Using SU's Square Collections Thinlits Die, I die cut some squares using part of the Scalloped Square Die and then used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut the Blackberry Bliss Checkered Paper.

For my first try, I think it turned out pretty good!

The next recipe is for Salads and is due the beginning of January.  Can't wait to give it another try!

Let the PARTY begin!  Stampin' Up's 2016 Occasions catalog Sales period is January 5, 2016 - May 31, 2016.

I hope you enjoyed my blog today.  Thanks for stopping in!

Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek - Honeycomb Happiness Treat Holder - SAB Stamp Set!

TGIF My Friends!

Today's project is another Sneak Peek from the Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog.  Let's take a peek:

Isn't that little chicky just CUTE!  The chick, the balloon on the right and the sun are 3 of the 6 stamps from the new Stampin' Up stamp set called Honeycomb Happiness!  This stamp set is one of the  Sale-A-Bration products that you can get for FREE during the sales period of January 5th-March 31st 2016.  For every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping), you get one FREE product from the SAB flyer.  Some of the FREE products will be for a limited time (only available until February 15!).

I die cut the SU Curvy Keepsake Box twice for the base of my Treat Holder out of SU Marina Mist Cardstock.  I cut the box apart and used the two pieces with the handles and cut off about 1/4" from the bottom of each piece and adhered them together with SU's Mono Mulit-Purpose glue.

Using SU's Sleigh Ride Edgelits (Sold Out and No Longer Available), I die cut the tree die with SU's Old Olive Cardstock, trimmed it to fit the bottom of my Treat Holder base and adhered it with Mono Mulit-Purpose glue.

I stamped the chick on SU's Daffodil Delight Cardstock and fussy cut him out.  The hat is stamped in SU Old Olive Ink on SU's Whisper White Cardstock and fussy cut too.  The sun is stamped in SU Crushed Curry Ink on SU's Whisper White Cardstock and fussy cut also.

For the Small Balloon, I sponged it with SU Marina Mist Ink and fussy cut it out.  There is a new SU Balloon Punch; but, I had already cut it out before I remembered it.  I adhered the balloon and string on to some SU Window Sheet so it would stand up in the air.  I stamped the little flowers from SU's new Botanical Blooms Stamp Set on the balloon.

For the Large Balloon I stamped the balloon in SU's Marina Mist Ink on SU's Whisper White Cardstock and then the sentiment from SU's new Balloon Builders Stamp Set in the middle of the balloon.  I also adhered this balloon on to SU's Window Sheet.

I added some SU It's My Party Enamel Dots in Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry to the balloons and sun.

I used SU Glue Dots to adhere a York Peppermint Patty candy to the inside of my Treat Holder.

To close up my Treat Holder, I tied the handles together with a bow using SU's new Two-tone Baker's Twine in Melon Mambo and Black.

Stampin' Up Curvy Keepsake Box - Christmas Light Bulb Ornament Treat Holder and Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

Today, I have a Stampin' Up Christmas post and a Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek.  Let's take a look at my Christmas post first:

I've seen these Christmas Bulb Ornaments in several places on Pinterest and really wanted to make them for my Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, and her team for Christmas.

I made a couple changes to mine!  I used Stampin' Up's Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die for the base.  Now, you can actually use this project as an Ornament for your tree, a Gift Tag for a present or a Treat Holder.  I chose to make mine a treat holder and put a York Peppermint Patty candy inside.

I used the scalloped square in Stampin' Up's Square Collections Framelits and SU's Gold Glimmer paper to make the bottom portion of the bulb.  I put the gold foil piece on my SU Score Board and made score lines in between the scallops to make it look like the screw in portion of the bulb.

I used November's SU Monthly Paper Pumpkin kit to make my holly leaves.  I took SU's Owl Builder Punch and punched the smallest circle for the berries on the holly leaves and added SU's Crystal Effects on them for some shine.

Using SU's Craft White Ink, I smeared and spread the white ink over the face of the bulb for a little light image shining on it. I used SU's Signo White Gel Pen and made a couple lines on the side of each bulb for some more light effects.

I stamped the sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin kit and used SU's Gold Cording for the bow and hanger.

I wouldn't normally make a "Pink" Christmas bulb; but, "Pink" is Kadie's FAVE color.  I'm sure as soon as she opened the box that she knew the "Pink" one was for her.  =)

O.K.  On to another SU 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek:

Ahhhh....such a pretty die cut!!!  Makes my heart SING!!!

I used Stampin' Up's new Designer Series Paper Stack called Love Blossoms for my front panel.  So pretty!

I took SU's new Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die and die cut it using SU's Basic Black Cardstock.  I recommend using the Precision Base Plate with your BIG Shot in order to cut this intricate die.  Makes it much easier to get all those little pieces out.  The Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die also has the two small flowers die's.

Behind the Bloomin' Heart die cut is a piece of SU's Melon Mambo Cardstock that I die cut using SU's Hearts Collections Thinlits Dies.  Perfect fit!

SU's new Bloomin' Love Stamp Set coordinates with the Bloomin' Heart die.  I stamped four of the small flowers in Melon Mambo Ink on to SU's Whisper White Cardstock and die cut them out.

I adhered SU's new It's My Party Enamel Dots in the Crushed Curry color to the centers of my flowers.  I also adhered some SU Basic Jewel Pearls to the small black flowers in the heart die cut.

I die cut the leaf that is in the new SU Rose Garden Thinlits Dies from SU's Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Cardstocks.  I adhered the solid portion of the leaf die cut around the small flowers in the heart die cut.  I adhered the open portion of the leaf die cut on top of and under the sentiment.

I stamped the banner around my sentiment using the marker to stamp technique.  The banner stamp is from SU's new Bloomin' Love stamp set.  Then, I stamped the sentiment using the same technique and stamp set.  I die cut the banner using SU's new Large Numbers Framelits Dies and adhered it to the card with SU Stampin' Dimensionals.

Let the PARTY begin!  Stampin' Up's 2016 Occasions catalog Sales period is January 5, 2016 - May 31, 2016.

Stampin' Up Fancy Favor Santa Gift Box with Tag/Ornament & Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

Hi all...Happy Wednesday!

Today I have this little Santa Gift Box and Tag/Ornament to share with you!

This Santa Tag/Ornament and Gift Box just makes me smile!  The box die is Stampin' Up's Fancy Favor Box Die which is retired now.  I will never part with this die as it's one of my FAVE's!

I made these Santa gift boxes and tag/Ornaments for a special Christmas party for my good friend and fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, and her team in Arizona!  I also made a couple for two very dear and special friends of mine, Shirley and Connie.

I embellished the box to look like Santa's body.  I LOVE his belly band with SU's Silver Glimmer Paper for the shiny and sparkly buckle.

Midland has a warehouse sale just before Christmas and the proceeds go to our schools.  They have these chocolate covered peanuts that are to die for and we make sure to pick some up every year.  I used SU's cello bags and filled them up with the chocolate covered peanuts and tied them off with SU's Silver Cording.

The tag/ornament was die cut from Stampin' Up's Delicate Ornament Thinlits Die and embellished to look like Santa's face.

I used a retired SU embossing folder called Northern Flurry to dry emboss his beard and mustache.  The wings from the SU Bird Builder Punch makes for the perfect mustache.

I tied on SU's Silver Cording for a hanger so you can use it for a gift tag or an ornament on your tree.

Now, for a Sneak Peek at some of the new products in the upcoming Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog.......drum roll please.....

WooHoo!  I'm lovin' the color!  Although, it's such a dreary day outside that my camera just does not do the colors justice.

First up...SU's It's My Party Designer Series Paper and SU's Party Punch Pack.  I tried to capture many of the different prints of the paper in all the little balloons.  I punched the balloons out with the new small balloon punch.  There is also a small cupcake and candle punch in the pack.  And, guess what....there's an even bigger balloon punch that has two balloons.  The small balloon is 1"x1 3/8" and the large balloon is 1 5/8"x1 11/16".  WooHoo again!

I dry embossed some SU Whisper White Cardstock with the new SU Confetti Embossing Folder.  LOVE it!

The new SU Baker's Twine Combo Pack has 2 spools, 25 yards each and is two tone; Basic Black/Melon Mambo and Basic Black/Mint Macaron.  I used the baker's twine for the strings on my balloons, the bow and around the star.

I used SU's Itty Bitty Banners to create the banners for my sentiment.  The sentiment is from SU's new stamp set called Party with Cake!  LOVE the font!!!

The enamel dot on the star is from SU's new It's My Party Enamel Dots.  They come in 3 colors; Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron and two sizes; 1/8" and 3/16".

I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card before I signed it.  Oopsy!

I used one of the two new SU Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies on the inside of my card.  You can cut them out and glue them flat or you can die cut your card base so they POP outward at you when you open the card.

The second die SU Party Pop-Up die says Hip Hip Hooray! on it.  It has little confetti pieces around the words so I used those pieces on the front of the card for embellishments.

I punched little cupcakes out using more of the SU It's My Party DSP and glued them around the die cut.

And, SU's new It's My Party Designer Washi Tape was used to adhere my background panel on to the card.  There are 5 rolls; one of each design.  The widths are 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8".  The colors are Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron.

Let the PARTY begin!  Stampin' Up's 2016 Occasions catalog Sales period is January 5, 2016 - May 31, 2016.

I hope you enjoyed my blog today.  Thanks for stopping in!
