Wildflower Wishes February 2018 Paper Pumpkin - Alternate Card

Another gorgeous day here in Michigan.  It is supposed to be 60 degrees and the sun is shining fun on!  I will definitely be going outside this afternoon for some of that clean, fresh air!!!  Yay!!!

I may not be able to post the rest of this week as it will be a busy one.  My Mother-In-Law's Mass Service is this week.  We haven't decided yet when we will go up to Alpena for burial.  So sad as she had so many loved one's that truly loved her.  She will be missed that's for sure!

My share for today is an Alternate Card that I designed using Stampin' Up's February 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Let's take a look:

My Card Base is Tempting Turquoise Cardstock cut at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored and folded at 4-1/4" for a top folding Card.

I chose the Flower Pattern Panel from the Wildflower Paper Pumpkin Kit for my Card Front Panel.

Using SU's Picnic Basket Builder Framelits Dies, I die cut the Grass Die twice from Garden Green Cardstock.  ( I left the bottom edge of the die off of the platform on my BIG Shot so it would not cut the bottom off and I would have a longer bottom edge of the Grass piece. )  I also die cut 2 of the Grass Tuft Die.

I adhered the 2 Grass Die Cuts to my Flower Card Front Panel overlapping each other with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I trimmed off the excess with my Stampin' Trimmer and my Stampin' Snips.  ( I only put glue on the bottom and side edges of the Grass Die Cuts and left the top free of adhesive so I could tuck my Flowers behind the Grass.

I trimmed out 3 strips of Garden Green Cardstock to measure about 3/16" x 2" for my Flower Stems.

Using SU's Leaf Punch, I punched out 3 of the Leaf Sprig Stickers from the Kit, trimmed the middle Leaf off and adhered the remaining 2 Leaves to my Flower Stems and to my Card Front Panel ( behind the Grass ) with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I adhered one of the Center Leaves to the Center Flower Stem as shown in the picture above.

Using SU's 1-3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch, I punched 1 Circle from an Envelope Flap and 2 from one of the Die Cut Tags in the Kit.  I adhered the Left and Right Scalloped Circles with a Stampin' Dimensional and the Center Scalloped Circle with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using the Wildflower Wishes Stamp Set, I masked the Hello Sweet stamp and stamped Hello and Sweet separately in Garden Green Ink onto Crushed Curry Cardstock.

Using SU's 3/4" Circle Punch, I punched out the Hello, the Sweet and a Circle from the Crushed Curry Cardstock and adhered them to my Flower Centers with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using the Wildflower Wishes Stamp Set, I stamped Friend in Garden Green Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and trimmed it out to measure 3/4" x 4-1/2".  I also stamped the Littlest Flower stamp on each end of Friend.

Using SU's Triple Banner Punch, I punched both ends of my Banner to flag the ends.

I cut a length of Linen Thread from the Kit, wrapped it around the left end of my Banner 4 times and tied it into a Bow.

I adhered the Banner to Grass with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered the Grass Tufts above the Banner with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

I adhered my Front Panel to my Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered Pearls from the Kit onto my 3 Flowers and the 2 stamped Flowers as shown in the picture above.

These Flowers will have to do to cheer me up for the time being; that is, until Spring arrives!

Wishing you all a warm and sunny day!!!

Blessings!

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Wishes Paper Pumpkin February 2018

What a GORGEOUS day outside today.  High temperature is 48 and not a cloud in the sky.  I've made several trips outside already today just to enjoy the sunshine.  Tomorrow, it's supposed to be 60 degrees out.  Oh My Gosh, I will take that any day in February in Michigan!!!  😊😊😊

My share for today is Stampin' Up's February 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Wildflower Wishes.  Let's take a look:

If you LOVE Wildflowers as much as I do, then you will LOVE Stampin' Up's February Paper Pumpkin Kit called Wildflower Wishes.

The Wildflower Wishes Kit includes:
Wildflower Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set
Garden Green Classic Stampin' Spot

9 Card Bases
9 Printed Envelopes
9 Printed Cardstock Pieces

4 Sheets Cardstock Stickers
3 Sheets Die Cut Elements
2 Sheets Vellum Die Cuts

9 Yards Linen Thread

30 White Pearls

And, 60 Dimensionals
200 Adhesive Dots

My first tip would be to lay one of the Die Cut Elements up-side-down and centered on your Printed Cardstock Piece and then stamp your Flowers.  It helps to create the perfect stamped Flowers on the corners of the Printed Cardstock Piece.

We even got to stamp the lines on the Envelopes.  There are so many different Cardstock Stickers.  I only used 4 different ones on the Envelopes pictured above.

My second tip would be to leave the Flap opened up on the Envelope when you stamp the lines so the Flap does not create a bump underneath where you are stamping.

Even the inside Flaps on the Envelopes are printed with the GORGEOUS Wildflowers!

The Vellum Die Cuts are so cool.  Sometimes, I forget to use Vellum in my projects and will have to use it more often!

That was such a fun, fun kit to put together!

Blessings!
