Merry Music, Season Like Christmas, Holly, Softly Falling - Christmas Card

Would you believe that it is 60 degrees out today.  Very windy; but, very, very nice!!!  😊😊😊

My share for today is a Christmas Card that a very talented designer from Stampin' Up! created and shared with us in our Demonstrator's Succeed Weekly e-mail.  I feel in love with the card and had to make one of my own with a couple changes.  Let's take a look:

I Love this simple, multi-layer tree from SU's Season of Christmas Stamp Set and can't believe that I only now just inked it up.  It has a couple bumps and bruises though as my kitty cat, Natasha, had to help me stamp it!   I guess she just needed some extra lovin' this morning!

And, now, Natasha's Brother, Boris, is helping me to type up this blog post.  He loves to chase my fingers across the keyboard.  Silly boy!!!

My Card Base is Old Olive Cardstock cut at 41/4" x 11" and scored and folded at 4-1/4" for a top folding card.

I ran the Card Front through my BIG Shot using SU's Holly Embossing Folder.

My First Card Front Panel is Cherry Cobbler Cardstock cut at 3-1/4" x 5-1/4".

My Second Card Front Panel is Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper cut at 3" x 5".

Using SU's Season of Christmas Stamp Set, I stamped the Most Detailed Tree in Old Olive Ink onto the Merry Music Panel.  I then stamped the Least Detailed Tree over the top with Always Artichoke Ink.  Next, I stamped the Tree Trunk Stamp in Early Espresso Ink.  I adhered the Merry Music Panel to my Cherry Cobbler Panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

This is another part of the card that I love.  The Designer dry embossed a small piece of Cardstock to put underneath the Sentiment.  What a great idea to use up some scraps.  I've done this before; but, I've actually forgotten to do this anymore.  I embossed my scrap piece of Old Olive Cardstock with SU's Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

I trimmed out a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock to measure 7/8" x 3-1/4".  Using SU's Season of Christmas Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Memento Black Ink.  I then adhered the Scrap Embossed Panel to the back of my Sentiment Panel and adhered it to my Cherry Cobbler Panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's Basic Black Baker's Twine, I wrapped the twine around the Cherry Cobbler Panel twice and tied it into a Bow.

I adhered the Cherry Cobbler Panel to my Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I randomly adhered 3 of SU's Enamel Star Shapes to my Card as shown in the picture above.

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Oh, What Fun, Seasonal Chums, Seasonal Tags, Around the World, Layering Ovals - Test Tube Christmas Candy Favor

It's a mostly cloudy, calm day outside today with the high temperature getting into the mid 40's.  No snow yet!!!  😊😊😊

My share for today is a Test Tube Christmas Favor.  Let's take a look:

I filled two of SU's Test Tubes with Green and Red candies.

Using SU's Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, I die cut the Largest Oval and tied it around my two Test Tubes with SU's Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim as shown in the picture above.  I wrapped the trim around 3 times and then tied it into a bow.

Using SU's Seasonal Chums Stamp Set, I stamped the Snowman Tag in Black Memento Ink and colored him with my Stampin' Blends Markers in Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Smokey Slate, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake.

Using SU's coordinating Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies, I die cut out my Snowman Tag.

Using SU's Oh, What Fun Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment on the inside of my Tag with Cherry Cobbler Ink.

Using SU's Pining For Plaid Stamp Set, I stamped my Snowflakes in Pool Party Ink.

I attached my Tag with a Glue Dot underneath my Bow.

Such a quick and easy project!

Many Mittens, Oh What Fun, Detailed Floral, Softly Falling, Pretty Label - Sledding Penguins Card

What a gorgeous day outside!  Our high is supposed to be 52 today.  Not our normal November weather and I will surely take it!!!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Thanksgiving!

My share for today is a Sledding Penguins Card.  Let's take a look:

These adorable little Penguins were designed by a fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Donna Griffith.  She shared the schematics for the Penguins on the internet.  Thanks so much for sharing with us Donna!  So very nicely done!!!  And, I just adore them!!!  Here is the link to Donna's Penguin Schematics https://www.google.com/search?q=smitten+mitten+penguins&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=ctZwfI200fFf7M%253A%252Cjm4f6QQu_fBpWM%252C_&usg=__vw51fo2QR_wBznxY0dEfOEiArGY%3D&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiilI6F8tfXAhUGMt8KHdvhBvYQ9QEIQjAH#imgrc=ctZwfI200fFf7M:
I did make my Penguins a little different.  I punched out the eyes from Basic Black Cardstock and also gave them different noses...the longer nose for a Boy Penguin and a smaller nose for the Girl Penguin.  😊😊😊

My Card Base is Soft Sky Cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored and folded at 5-1/2" for a top folding card.

I ran the front of my Card Base through my BIG Shot using SU's Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

Using SU's Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies, I die cut the Long Skinny Floral Die twice from Whisper White Cardstock as shown in the picture above for my Snow Banks.  (You have to cut each piece twice as the die is not long enough.)

I used my Wink of Stella to brush some glittery shine along the edges of both die cut Snow Banks.

I adhered both Snow Banks to my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue leaving the tops free of adhesive so I could tuck my Trees behind the Snow Banks.

Using SU's Many Mittens Framelits Dies, I die cut the Solid Large Mitten from Garden Green Cardstock and the Detailed Mitten from Real Red Cardstock.  I trimmed off the Thumbs and made it into a Sled as shown in the picture above.  I also die cut the Cuff of the Mitten and embossed it with the Cuff Dies.  I adhered my Sled together using Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I also die cut my Trees from Garden Green and Old Olive Cardstocks.  I used my Signo White Gel Pen to make snow on my Trees and then went over it with my Wink of Stella.

I adhered all the trees with Mono Multi Purpose Glue except the one Old Olive Tree that I adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using SU's Oh, What Fun Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiments in Cherry Cobbler Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock as shown in the picture above and punched them out with SU's Pretty Label Punch for my Clouds.  I used my Wink of Stella and brushed along all the edges and adhered one with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and the other with Stampin' Dimensionals.

These little Penguins are just too cute!

It's a little hard for me to get into the Christmas/Winter Season with no snow on the ground and temperatures into the 50's.  I'm not complaining though!
