My share for today is another of Stampin' Up's One in a Melon June 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit alternate 3D projects that I designed. Along with the contents in the One in a Melon Paper Pumpkin Kit, I also used Pocketful of Sunshine and At Home Stamp Sets and Layering Oval Framelits Dies.
Let's take a look:
Gosh...there are so many things that you can make using the contents of Stampin' Up's One in a Melon June 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit. I designed this cute little Watermelon Treat Holder that holds 3 Hershey Nuggets.
I trimmed out a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock to measure 4" x 5". I scored it with the Short Side of the Cardstock at the top of my trimmer at 1" and 3". I scored the Long Side at 2" and 3". I cut up the side flaps to the score lines, adhered my Tear & Tape Adhesive to the flaps and folded the box up.
Using SU's Layering Ovals, I die cut 2 Ovals (2-1/2" x 3-1/2") from a portion of the Gift Bag from the Paper Pumpkin Kit.
I die cut 2 Ovals (1-3/4" x 2-3/4") from the Cotton Paper in the Kit.
I scored the bottom of the Watermelon Ovals at 1/4", folded them under at the score line and adhered them to the Front and Back of the Box with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I adhered the Cotton Paper Ovals to the Front and Back of the Box with tiny dabs of Mono Multi Purpose Glue behind each Pit. (You don't want to see the glue so I hid it behind the Pits.)
I trimmed out another piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock for the handle to measure 1/2" x 9" and adhered the ends to the inside Sides of the Box with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I trimmed out a piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock to measure 1/4" x 1-3/4", wrapped it around the Handle at the Top leaving a little bit hanging over the Front Edge to glue the bow onto and adhered it with a dab of Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
Using SU's new Pocketful of Sunshine Stamp Set, I stamped the For You in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a scrap of Melon Mambo Cardstock.
Using SU's new At Home Framelits Dies, I die cut out my Sentiment with the little Tag die.
Using my 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch, I punched a hole in the Tag. I tied a length of SU's Linen Thread through the hole, knotted it at the top and adhered it to the Melon Mambo piece on the Top of the Handle with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I tied a Triple Bow with the Linen Thread and adhered it just below the Knot on the Linen Thread on the Tag with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.
I tied another Bow with SU's new 1/4" Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon and adhered it just below the left Handle on the Watermelon with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I made a little pouch out of a piece of the Cotton Paper from the Kit and placed it inside the box for my 3 Hershey Nuggets to sit in leaving a little bit to peek out the front of the Box.
I trimmed out 3 pieces of the Pre-Printed Card Bases from the Kit to measure 1" x 3".
I adhered SU's Tear & Tape to one end of the pieces and wrapped them around the Nuggets as shown in the picture above. I've made many of these type of Hershey Nuggets and the only thing that I have found that will hold the wraps onto the Nuggets is Sticky Tape - Tear & Tape. I've tried glue dots and they always seem to pop open so I would suggest a strong adhesive.
That's all I have for today! I hope you enjoyed my blog post and thanks for stopping by!
