Stampin' Up! One in a Melon June 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Project

Well, the rain didn't go away.  It came down in sheets for over 3 hours.  Two of our fruit trees are laying on the ground.  We have a BIG sink hole over the tube going from the pond to the river.  The pond was overflowed right up to our pole barn; but, has dropped 6 feet now.  My Husband couldn't make it to work this morning as the roads are impassable.  Cars are in ditches and debris is floating in the water current going over the roads.  You can't even get to WalMart and some employee's at Kohl's and WalMart were stranded inside the stores.   Midland's Baseball Diamonds are under water.  I've not ever seen flooding this bad in Midland.  I hope all the water recedes soon.  It's just crazy!!!

My share for today is Stampin' Up's One in a Melon June 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit Pocket Envelope alternate project that I designed.

Let's take a look:

I cut apart one of the Gift Bags that is in the Kit.  I used the largest square (front of the Gift Bag) and trimmed it down to 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" which includes about a 1/4" flap on both sides and the bottom.  I adhered Tear & Tape Adhesive on the 3 flaps.

I trimmed the second square (back of the Gift Bag) down to 4" x 4-1/4".

I removed the protective liner of the Tear & Tape Adhesive and adhered the two sides and bottom together to create a Pocket Envelope.

Using SU's new Decorative Ribbon Border Punch, I punched two borders from Melon Mambo Cardstock.  I adhered one border to the bottom of the Pocket Envelope and one inside the top of the Pocket Envelope.

The Cotton Paper in the kit is really neat.  It has the Watermelon Pits printed on the paper.  I inserted a half sheet of the Cotton Paper into my Pocket Envelope.

Sorry my picture turned out so bad.  Sometimes it's hard to capture white on white in a photo.

Anyways, I trimmed out the back of one of the Cards to measure 3-3/8" x 4-1/2".

I trimmed out a piece of the Pre-Printed Card to measure 1" x 2" and adhered it to the back of the top of the note card for a Pull with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I then fussy cut out one of the Pineapples and adhered that to the pull with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I hadn't decided who the recipient will be for my Pocket Card and Envelope yet so I didn't embellish the Note Card.  I'm thinking that I will fussy cut out some of the fruit and adhere them along the edges or top and bottom of the Note Card.

Using the One in a Melon Stamp Set, I stamped my Watermelon and Rind onto one of the Circle Tags in the kit.  I cut the tag in half and adhered some Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of it.

Using SU's It's a Sara Thing April 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit Stamp Set, I stamped the YOU, the ARE and the SO (I masked of the MUCH from the SO MUCH Stamp) onto one of the Pre-Water Colored Tags.

Using the Melon Mambo Baker's Twine in the Kit, I tied a bow and adhered it to the bottom of the Watermelon with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and then adhered the Watermelon to the Pre-Water Colored Tag.

Using one of the Lemon Lime Twist Clothespins in the Kit, I clipped the Tag to my Pocket Envelope.

I LOVE Paper Pumpkin Kits.  They are so fun to put together and I LOVE the challenge of creating Alternate Cards and Projects.  It's such a great get-a-way!

That's all I have for today! I hope you enjoyed my blog post and thanks for stopping by!
