Stampin' Up Tin of Tags, This Christmas, Christmas Card

Yup - It sure cooled down today and that wind just makes it colder.  My poor arthritic hands are really feeling it today.  =(

I am going to take a few days or maybe all of next week off from posting on my blog.  A much needed vacation, some Christmas shopping and some overdue time with Friends.

My share for today is a Christmas card that I designed using Stampin' Up's Tin of Tags Stamp Set.  I've gotten more use out of this stamp set than a lot of the stamp sets that I own.

Let's take a look:

I wanted to go with a different color combination for a Christmas card and this is what I came up with.

My card base is Mint Macaron Cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored and folded at 4-1/4".

Using Stampin' Up's Tin of Tags Stamp Set, I stamped 3 of the Snowflakes in Mint Macaron Ink down the right edge of the card base.

I pulled off some Sequins from a roll of SU's Silver Sequin Trim and adhered them around the Snowflakes and to the centers of the Snowflakes with SU's Fine Tip Glue Bottle.

I adhered some Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the center of each Snowflake.

I adhered a piece of SU's Vellum Cardstock trimmed out at 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" and adhered it to my card base using Mono Multi Purpose Glue. *I knew I would be adhering another piece of cardstock over the vellum so I only put a line of Glue under the vellum where the cardstock was going to be adhered over the Glue line- you don't want to see the Glue through the vellum.

I trimmed out a piece of the Music Note DSP from This Christmas Designer Series Paper at 1" x 3-1/2" and adhered it over the line of Glue and on top of the Vellum Cardstock.

I LOVE this 3/8" Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon!  It's actually part of SU's Fancy Frost Suite which is mostly dedicated to New Year's in the Holiday Catalog.  So, of course, I wanted to use it on a Christmas card.  =)  It's such a gorgeous color!!!

I flagged the end of a 4-1/2" piece Sweet Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon and adhered it to the Music Note piece with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I took another piece of the ribbon, tied my bow and adhered it to the top of the straight piece of ribbon with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Using SU's Silver Metallic Thread, I tied on 3 of the Mini Jingle Bells and adhered each end of the thread underneath the loops of the bow.

This will definitely be a hand delivered card because of the Jingle Bells.  Or, I could not put the Jingle Bells on the card.  Hmmmm.....I'll have to think about that one.  Oh, and the Mini Jingle Bells really work too!

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!
