Stampin' Up Flowering Fields Botanicals Water Color Card Set III

I decided to post some of my most popular designs this week since I'm on vacation:
This blog post has 742 blog views; totally amazing!!!  Thank you all for visiting my blog!!!

Hope your week is going well!  I'm getting the full blown cold, AGAIN!!!  Will it ever go away!!

Today, I'm sharing with you card 3 of 6 water color cards that I made using the new Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set called Flowering Fields, the new SU 2016 Occasions Catalog SU Botanical Builders Framelits Dies and the new SU Rose Garden Thinlits Dies.  Let's take a look at my third card:

I started out by making my A2 card bases with SU's Basic Black Card Stock and I rounded each corner.

For the tag, I cut a piece of SU's Whisper White Card Stock at 4 1/4" x 2" and punched one end using SU's Ornate Tag Topper Punch.

The panel behind the tag is SU's Lost Lagoon Card Stock cut at 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" and I rounded each corner.

I stamped the flowers and butterfly from SU's new Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Flowering Fields in SU's Basic Black Archival Ink.  I then used my Aqua Painter and SU's Lost Lagoon, Old Olive and Crushed Curry Inks to water color the images.  They are awful small images to water color; but, I think I did pretty good.

I layered two different SU Designer Series Washi Tapes (Retired) on the bottom of my tag.

Using SU's Lost Lagoon 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (Retired), I thread it through the hole in the top of the tag and tied it in a knot.  I then took some SU Basic Black Baker's Twine and tied a bow around the Ribbon.

I adhered the tag to the Lost Lagoon panel and then to the card base all using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I die-cut some different leaves and flowers from the new SU Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and SU's new Rose Garden Thinlits Dies using SU's Old Olive, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party Card Stocks.

The sentiment was stamped from SU's Talented Trio Stamp Set found in the Annual Catalog.

I added some of the new SU 2016 Occasions Catalog It's Your Party Enamel Dots in Crushed Curry to the flower centers.

For the inside of my card, I cut a piece of SU Whisper White Card Stock at 4 1/2"x 3 1/2".  I used a scrap of SU Lost Lagoon Card Stock which I trimmed to 4 1/2" x 1/2" and adhered it to the left side of the Whisper White piece.  I then rounded all 4 corners and adhered it to the inside of my card using Mono Multi-Purpose glue.

I also added a flower and a leaf stem that I die-cut from the Botanical Builders and Rose Garden dies and a 1/4" circle punched with SU's 1/4" Hand Held Hole Punch to the center of the flower.

The sentiment is from SU's new 2016 Occasions Catalog Stamp Set called Birthday Blooms.

I'll share card 4 with you tomorrow so please stop back!

  1. LOVE this Lost Lagoon tag on a Basic Black card base. I especially LOVE how you keep the inserts within the leaf and stamped on the one. BRILLIANT!
