Lilypad Lake, Lakeside - Thoughts & Prayers Card

And...another beautiful day in Michigan.  The high temperature is supposed to be 78 if not higher.  It's mostly sunny with a light breeze!  I'm not sure what we are going to do this afternoon yet!  I hope it's fun though!!!

We went fishing yesterday.  Had lots of bites; but, I was the only one to catch a fish.  It was a BIG one too!   I had some on-lookers cheering me on as it took so long to haul it in.  It ended up being a HUGE Catfish...Awwwwwww...needless to say, it went back into the water.  So much for my moment of glory!

My share for today is another Thoughts & Prayers Card that I made using Stampin' Up's new Lilypad Lake Stamp Set and the coordinating Lakeside Framelits Dies.  Let's take a look:

I was so impressed by the Lilypad Lake Card that a Stampin' Up! Designer created on page 133 in the new 2018-2019 Catalog that I had to create one for myself.  I did make my own little changes though.

My Card Base is Whisper White Cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored and folded at 5-1/2" for a top folding card.

I started out by die cutting the Wave die from SU's new Lakeside Framelits Dies three times down the front of my Card Base.

I trimmed out a panel of Mint Macaron Cardstock to measure 4" x 5-1/4" and adhered it to the back of the die cut Waves on my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's new Lilypad Lake Stamp Set, I stamped the Heron onto Crumb Cake Cardstock and the Lilypad's onto Shimmery White Cardstock with Black Memento Ink.

I then stamped my Sentiment onto Whisper White Cardstock in Old Olive Ink.

Using SU's coordinating Lakeside Framelits Dies, I die cut out the Heron, the Lilypad's and the Sentiment Label.

I also die cut out 2 of the Tall Grass from Old Olive Cardstock.

I adhered the 2 Tall Grass die cuts with Mono Multi Purpose Glue to the stems only leaving the tops free of adhesive.  I used my fingers to give a little curl to the tops of the Tall Grass.

I adhered some tiny pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals to the Heron's body, head and neck and slid the Heron's feet underneath the Waves.  I just thought this was an exceptionally brilliant idea and I just LOVE how it looks.  So cool!  Kudo's to the SU Designer!!!

I colored my Lilypad's and Flowers with Light and Dark Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends.  Stampin' Up's Stampin' Blends are amazing and I just LOVE how easy it is to blend the Lights and Darks together.

I adhered the Lilypad's just below the Tall Grass with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I cut about 4" of SU's 3/8" Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon, pulled the threads to fray the ends and adhered the Ribbon to my card with SU's Glue Dots.

I trimmed out a panel of Old Olive Cardstock to measure 1" x 3-1/4" and adhered the Sentiment Label to the panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered the Sentiment Label panel with Stampin' Dimensionals as shown in the picture above.

I cut a length of SU's Linen Thread, tied it into a Bow and adhered it to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

What a cool, fun and unique card.  Again, Kudo's to the SU Designer!!!  Amazing!!!

Wishing you all a warm and sunny day!!!

Blessings!

Lynn
