Delightfully Detailed, Lilypad Lake, Lakeside - Congratulations Card

It's a very beautiful, sunny day with high temp's in the low 80's.  We are supposed to get some thunderstorms late this afternoon or tonight.  Maybe the humidity will go away after the storms pass.

My dear friend, Dee, is struggling with bone cancer and things have gotten incredibly worse for Dee and her family.  Another dear friend, Shirley, had a mild heart attack and her Son, John, is at U of M in Ann Arbor again with kidney failure.  So, if you pray, please send some prayers their way!!!

My share for today is a Congratulations Card that I made using Stampin' Up's new Lilypad Lake Stamp Set and the coordinating Lakeside Framelits Dies.  I LOVE this set!  Let's take a look:

Such a fun card to create!!!

My Card Base is SU's new Soft Sea Foam Cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored and folded at 5-1/2" for a top folding card.

I used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut Stampin' Up's new Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Designer Series Paper and trimmed out one of the Oval Rectangles.  (Note - I put the full Laser Cut sheet into my Stampin' Trimmer and gently held light pressure along the long plastic ruler portion of the trimmer as I cut downward with the blade...I also put a brand new blade in my Stampin' Trimmer before I started trimming my Laser Cut Paper.  This worked awesome for me and it held the paper in place and I had no troubles cutting my Laser Cut DSP.  I kept the pressure on the plastic ruler all the way down the sheet as I moved the blade downward.)  Hope this helps.

I trimmed out a panel of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock to measure 3-3/8" x 4-3/4".

Using SU's new Lilypad Lake Stamp Set, I stamped the Waves with Soft Sea Foam Ink.

I adhered my Oval Rectangle to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I then stamped the Sailboats and the Sun in Black Memento Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock.

I used my Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color the Sun.

I used my Light and Dark Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party to color my Sailboats.

Using the coordinating Lakeside Framelits Dies, I die cut out my Sun and Sailboats.

I adhered the Sun with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered the single Sailboat with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and the 2 Sailboats with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped my Heron and Lilypads with Black Memento Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock.

I lightly colored around the marks on the Heron with my Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend and took the Color Lifter to move the Ink around for some Gray highlights on the Heron.  I then experimented and colored the White parts of the Heron with the Color Lifter.  It kind of gave the Heron a little creamy or vanilla color.  Something different!!!

I colored my Lilypads with my Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker and my Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  (Note - Stampin' Write Markers are not made to be blendable so I just put a small amount of the Mossy Meadow Ink underneath the Flowers and then used my Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends.)

I colored my Flowers with Light and Dark Pink Pirouette

I then die cut out my Heron and Lilypads.

I adhered the Heron with Stampin' Dimensionals and the Lilypads with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

I stamped my Sentiment in Black Memento Ink onto Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, die cut it out with the small Label die and adhered it to the top of my Card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I trimmed out a panel of Whisper White Cardstock to measure 3-3/4" x 5" and adhered it to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I stamped the rest of the Sentiment and the Congratulations in Black Memento Ink onto Soft Sea Foam Cardstock and die cut them out with the Small Label die.

I die cut out 2 of the Tall Grass from Mossy Meadow Cardstock and adhered them to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I then adhered the rest of the Saying and the Congratulations over the bottoms of the Tall Grass with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

Wishing you all a warm and sunny day!!!

Blessings!

Lynn
