Stampin' Up Sleigh Ride Delicate Ornament Shaker Card with Bow

Goodness, we had an awful storm with severe winds and pouring rain move through about an hour ago.  The power flickered off twice; just enough to have to reset everything.  After it was just about over, the news came on with a warning!  Better late than never I guess!  All is well though.

Let's take a look at my card for today:

I just LOVE to make shaker cards.  My card is a little beat up as everyone had to give the card a lot of shaking!  =)  There's a lot of Stampin' Up product that I used on this card.

My card base is Stampin' Up's Smoky Slate Cardstock with a panel of SU Night of Navy cardstock adhered to it with SU Stampin' Dimensionals after I die cut it with SU's Delicate Ornament Die and ran it through the Big Shot with SU's Wonderland Embossing Folder.

I made the bow using SU's Gold Foil Paper and SU's Bow Builder Punch.  It's a really fun punch!  I added a SU Home for Christmas Very Vanilla Enamel Dot to the center of my bow.

The background in the shaker itself is SU's Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I used SU's Sleigh Ride Edgelits and die cut out Santa, his sleigh and the horse on the hill out of SU's Very Vanilla cardstock.  I adhered that piece directly to the background inside the shaker.

Using SU's Wonderful Wreath Framelits Die, I die cut out the word Joy and adhered it directly to my card with Mono Multi-Purpose glue.

A tip I learned at Convention last July was to take a Sponge Dauber and dab some SU Dazzling Details all over so that it  glistens and shines.  I did this all over the background and on Santa, the sleigh, the horse and the hill.  You can see it pretty good in the pictures.

I inserted SU's Metallic Sequins in the center of my shaker.

Then, using double sided foam tape and SU's Window Sheets, I completed my shaker.

This is one of my favorite Christmas cards.  I love the color combo too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
