Stampin' Up Fancy Favor Santa Gift Box with Tag/Ornament & Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

Hi all...Happy Wednesday!

Today I have this little Santa Gift Box and Tag/Ornament to share with you!

This Santa Tag/Ornament and Gift Box just makes me smile!  The box die is Stampin' Up's Fancy Favor Box Die which is retired now.  I will never part with this die as it's one of my FAVE's!

I made these Santa gift boxes and tag/Ornaments for a special Christmas party for my good friend and fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, and her team in Arizona!  I also made a couple for two very dear and special friends of mine, Shirley and Connie.

I embellished the box to look like Santa's body.  I LOVE his belly band with SU's Silver Glimmer Paper for the shiny and sparkly buckle.

Midland has a warehouse sale just before Christmas and the proceeds go to our schools.  They have these chocolate covered peanuts that are to die for and we make sure to pick some up every year.  I used SU's cello bags and filled them up with the chocolate covered peanuts and tied them off with SU's Silver Cording.

The tag/ornament was die cut from Stampin' Up's Delicate Ornament Thinlits Die and embellished to look like Santa's face.

I used a retired SU embossing folder called Northern Flurry to dry emboss his beard and mustache.  The wings from the SU Bird Builder Punch makes for the perfect mustache.

I tied on SU's Silver Cording for a hanger so you can use it for a gift tag or an ornament on your tree.

Now, for a Sneak Peek at some of the new products in the upcoming Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog.......drum roll please.....

WooHoo!  I'm lovin' the color!  Although, it's such a dreary day outside that my camera just does not do the colors justice.

First up...SU's It's My Party Designer Series Paper and SU's Party Punch Pack.  I tried to capture many of the different prints of the paper in all the little balloons.  I punched the balloons out with the new small balloon punch.  There is also a small cupcake and candle punch in the pack.  And, guess what....there's an even bigger balloon punch that has two balloons.  The small balloon is 1"x1 3/8" and the large balloon is 1 5/8"x1 11/16".  WooHoo again!

I dry embossed some SU Whisper White Cardstock with the new SU Confetti Embossing Folder.  LOVE it!

The new SU Baker's Twine Combo Pack has 2 spools, 25 yards each and is two tone; Basic Black/Melon Mambo and Basic Black/Mint Macaron.  I used the baker's twine for the strings on my balloons, the bow and around the star.

I used SU's Itty Bitty Banners to create the banners for my sentiment.  The sentiment is from SU's new stamp set called Party with Cake!  LOVE the font!!!

The enamel dot on the star is from SU's new It's My Party Enamel Dots.  They come in 3 colors; Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron and two sizes; 1/8" and 3/16".

I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card before I signed it.  Oopsy!

I used one of the two new SU Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies on the inside of my card.  You can cut them out and glue them flat or you can die cut your card base so they POP outward at you when you open the card.

The second die SU Party Pop-Up die says Hip Hip Hooray! on it.  It has little confetti pieces around the words so I used those pieces on the front of the card for embellishments.

I punched little cupcakes out using more of the SU It's My Party DSP and glued them around the die cut.

And, SU's new It's My Party Designer Washi Tape was used to adhere my background panel on to the card.  There are 5 rolls; one of each design.  The widths are 3/8", 1/2" and 5/8".  The colors are Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron.

Let the PARTY begin!  Stampin' Up's 2016 Occasions catalog Sales period is January 5, 2016 - May 31, 2016.
