Stampin' Up Curvy Keepsake Box - Christmas Light Bulb Ornament Treat Holder and Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek

Today, I have a Stampin' Up Christmas post and a Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek.  Let's take a look at my Christmas post first:

I've seen these Christmas Bulb Ornaments in several places on Pinterest and really wanted to make them for my Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, and her team for Christmas.

I made a couple changes to mine!  I used Stampin' Up's Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die for the base.  Now, you can actually use this project as an Ornament for your tree, a Gift Tag for a present or a Treat Holder.  I chose to make mine a treat holder and put a York Peppermint Patty candy inside.

I used the scalloped square in Stampin' Up's Square Collections Framelits and SU's Gold Glimmer paper to make the bottom portion of the bulb.  I put the gold foil piece on my SU Score Board and made score lines in between the scallops to make it look like the screw in portion of the bulb.

I used November's SU Monthly Paper Pumpkin kit to make my holly leaves.  I took SU's Owl Builder Punch and punched the smallest circle for the berries on the holly leaves and added SU's Crystal Effects on them for some shine.

Using SU's Craft White Ink, I smeared and spread the white ink over the face of the bulb for a little light image shining on it. I used SU's Signo White Gel Pen and made a couple lines on the side of each bulb for some more light effects.

I stamped the sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin kit and used SU's Gold Cording for the bow and hanger.

I wouldn't normally make a "Pink" Christmas bulb; but, "Pink" is Kadie's FAVE color.  I'm sure as soon as she opened the box that she knew the "Pink" one was for her.  =)

O.K.  On to another SU 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek:

Ahhhh....such a pretty die cut!!!  Makes my heart SING!!!

I used Stampin' Up's new Designer Series Paper Stack called Love Blossoms for my front panel.  So pretty!

I took SU's new Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die and die cut it using SU's Basic Black Cardstock.  I recommend using the Precision Base Plate with your BIG Shot in order to cut this intricate die.  Makes it much easier to get all those little pieces out.  The Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die also has the two small flowers die's.

Behind the Bloomin' Heart die cut is a piece of SU's Melon Mambo Cardstock that I die cut using SU's Hearts Collections Thinlits Dies.  Perfect fit!

SU's new Bloomin' Love Stamp Set coordinates with the Bloomin' Heart die.  I stamped four of the small flowers in Melon Mambo Ink on to SU's Whisper White Cardstock and die cut them out.

I adhered SU's new It's My Party Enamel Dots in the Crushed Curry color to the centers of my flowers.  I also adhered some SU Basic Jewel Pearls to the small black flowers in the heart die cut.

I die cut the leaf that is in the new SU Rose Garden Thinlits Dies from SU's Old Olive and Mossy Meadow Cardstocks.  I adhered the solid portion of the leaf die cut around the small flowers in the heart die cut.  I adhered the open portion of the leaf die cut on top of and under the sentiment.

I stamped the banner around my sentiment using the marker to stamp technique.  The banner stamp is from SU's new Bloomin' Love stamp set.  Then, I stamped the sentiment using the same technique and stamp set.  I die cut the banner using SU's new Large Numbers Framelits Dies and adhered it to the card with SU Stampin' Dimensionals.
