Stampin' Up 2016 Occasions Catalog Sneak Peek - Botanical Rose Wonder

Goodness, we got more rain last night and then it turned to a very light, fine snow.  Now, it is snowing like crazy with those BIG, HUGE snowflakes.  I do have to admit that it looks pretty with all the snow stuck to the trees.  The roads were really good this morning once we got out to a paved road.

Sympathy cards are not one of my FAVE cards to create; but, we all must make them!  Today, I'll share a Sympathy card that I made using Stampin' Up's Botanical Builder Framelits, Botanical Garden Designer Series Paper and Rose Wonder Stamp Set.  Let's take a look:

I'm just LOVIN' the colors in the Botanical Gardens DSP.  So bold and so pretty!  Gorgeous!

In the picture above, I die cut the larger flower in the Botanical Builder Framelits and then used my petal roller to curl the inside petals.  Then I die cut the smaller flower and thought they looked like butterflies so I added some Basic Black Baker's Twine for each butterflies antenna's.  I thought they looked cute perched atop each flower.

The sentiments on the inside and outside of my card are from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set.  It's a beautiful stamp set with coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits Dies and they have a very LARGE rose!  Stay tuned for a Rose card in the near future!!!

Pictured above is the inside of my card.  Clean and Simple.

  1. PERFECT card for those hard to make sympathy cards we sometimes need. The color combination you selected for each flower is FABULOUS. Thanks for sharing my friend. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
