My share for today is another alternate project, a Pillow Box Card Holder, to hold the 3" x 3" Cards that I designed and shared on my blog last Friday. I used Stampin' Up's September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit and some items from my personal stash to make this rather unique Card Holder. I know you are probably getting tired of Leaves as I've shared the Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin kit on my blog all week; but, I'm just having a blast with this kit and I could design tons more with it! =)
Let's take a look at my Pillow Box 3" x 3" Card Holder:
Isn't it neat! I'm just elated how it turned out!!!
Using one of the Pillow Boxes from Stampin' Up's September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit, I trimmed out a section from one of the sides of the Pillow Box that measured 1-1/8" x 3-1/2" as shown in the picture above.
With the short end of the section that I trimmed out of the side of the Pillow Box, I scored it at 7/8", 1-3/4" and 2-5/8".
I folded each score line and adhered Tear & Tape adhesive to the short flap and adhered it into a triangle as shown in the picture above. I adhered more Tear & Tape to one section of the triangle and adhered it to the back of the Pillow Box as shown in the picture above. The triangle piece makes for a nice stand to hold the Pillow Box up into a standing position. Pretty cool, huh!!!
I adhered one of the Large Leaf negative die cuts leftover from the die cut sheets after the die cuts were removed to a sheet of SU's new Champagne Foil Paper and fussy cut it out.
Using the Layered Leaves Stamp Set from the Kit, I stamped the Large Leaf in VersaMark Ink onto the foil Leaf (be careful the stamp doesn't slide around on the foil), sprinkled it with SU's Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. Gorgeous!!!
I adhered one of the Old Olive 3 Leaf Stems to the stem of the Large embossed Leaf.
I then adhered the Large Embossed Leaf to the front of my Pillow Box with Stampin' Dimensionals as shown in the picture above.
Using Layered Leaves Stamp Set, I inked up the Small Leaf Stamp with Old Olive Ink, stamped it off onto a piece of scrap paper and stamped it onto one of the tags from the kit without re-inking.
Using SU's Tabs for Everything Stamp Set, I stamped the Sentiment over the top of the Leaf on the tag with Cajun Craze Ink.
I cut a length of the Copper/White Baker's Twine from the kit, looped it thru the tag and tied it into a Bow.
I then adhered my tag to my Pillow Box with one of the Crushed Curry Mini Clothespins from the kit.
I tied a length of SU's new 1/4" Copper Trim around the Pillow Box and tied it into a Bow.

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, PLEASE be considerate of others creativity! Thank you!
