Hexagon Card Envelope, Spooky Night, Wood Crate, Jute Twine - IV

It's a chilly day out today.  I'm wondering if we will hit 60 degrees.  Hello Fall weather!

My share for today is a Hexagon Envelope that I designed for my Hexagon Cards that I share with you on my blog last week.  First off, let's take a re-look at my 3 Cards:

Pictured above is the torn and sponged paper Mummy 2-7/8" x 3-3/8" Hexagon Card that I designed use SU's Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.

Pictured above is the Seasonal Chum Pumpkin 2-7/8" x 3-3/8" Hexagon Card.

Pictured above is the Sweet Home Door 2-7/8" x 3-3/8" Hexagon Card.

Pictured above is the  2-7/8" x 3-3/8" Hexagon Card with the Door open and showing the Ghost.

And, here is the 2-7/8" x 3-3/8" Hexagon Card Envelope that I designed.  I used SU's Jute Twine to tie around the Envelope and into a Bow.  I die cut the Tag using SU's Wood Crate Framelits Dies and tied it around the Bow with Basic Black Baker's Twine.

I used SU's Spooky Night Designer Series Paper to make my Envelopes.  I started out with a piece of the DSP that measures 4-1/2" x 6-3/4".  I laid my Hexagon Card in the Center, measured around it and the template in the picture above is what I came up with for the Envelope.  It is too hard to put all the measurements in writing, so if you would like a copy of the template, please e-mail me at Dodge3670 at AOL dot Com.  Please note that I will ask for a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope and a check for $3.00.  Sorry, I normally post everything that I design for free; but, it's the best way that I could come up with to get the template into your hands if you can't figure it out by the pictures I shared of the template.

Pictured above is the Back of the Envelope Template.

After I cut out my template, I adhered 1/8" adhesive tape to the 2 top flaps and SU's Tear & Tape for the right side as shown in the picture above.  This is the inside of the Envelope.

Pictured above is the Back of the Envelope template.  I adhered 1/8" adhesive tape on the bottom 2 flaps.

Before I adhered anything closed, I folded the 2 sides inward and then folded the 2 top and 2 bottom flaps inward.  (The clear tape on the back is just to hold the Envelope closed to show you examples - I did not use any clear tape on this project.)

I removed the adhesive liner from the 2 bottom flaps and the side and adhered it together.

You then insert your Hexagon Card in the top and adhere the 2 top flaps closed.

Pictured above is what the front looks like when the Card is inserted and the Envelope is all closed up.

Pictured above is what the back looks like when the Card is inserted and the Envelope is all closed up.

Then, you just embellish it!!!  I think some Enamel Shapes or Basic Rhinestone Jewels would jazz it up even more.  Love my bling-bling; but, I ran out of time!

I still have some Stampin' Up Promotions to share with you today too!

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
