Share What You Love Suite - Mother's Day Card

It's a cloudy, muggy day today with the high temperature into the middle 70's.  A nice day to get some indoor work done!

Today is the last day for putting eye drops in my eye!!!  😊😊😊  I go back to see Dr. in mid June when I hope everything will be back to normal.  I still can't see perfect out of my eye; but, enough now to start coloring and fussy cutting again!  I hope I don't have to go and get my eye's tested again as my Hubby and I just got new glasses.  Fingers crossed that I don't have to get a new lens and that my eye is all better.

My Share for today is a Mother's Day Card that I designed.  I know, I'm a day late; but, so worth sharing with you.  Let's take a look:

It's still very hard for me to make Mother's Day Cards.  People say it gets easier as time passes after losing a Parent; but, it still hurts a lot.  My Mom and I did a lot together especially on weekends when I didn't have to work.  This cards for you Mom.  I love and miss you!

My Card Base is the Crumb Cake/Rich Razzleberry Flower pattern from SU's new Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored and folded at 5-1/2" for a top folding card.

I trimmed out a panel of Whisper White Cardstock to measure 3-3/4" x 3-1/4".  I lined up my panel onto my Stampin' Trimmer from corner-to-corner at the 2-1/4" mark (both opposite corners should line up at the 2-1/4" mark above and below each corner) and trimmed off all four corners.  Something different and I really like the looks of it.

Using SU's new Lovely Floral Embossing Folder, I embossed the Floral pattern centered onto my Whisper White Panel.

I cut a length of SU's 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon, adhered it towards the bottom on my Whisper White Panel and adhered each end of the Ribbon on the back of the panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and Tape.  I cut another length of the Velvet Ribbon and tied it into a knot around the first Ribbon.

I adhered the panel to my Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using SU's new Love What You Do Stamp Set, I stamped the Flower in Black Memento Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.

I stamped the Bud Stems in Mossy Meadow Ink (Returning In-Color and moved to the Neutrals Collection) twice and the Leaf Stems in Old Olive Ink.

Using my Stampin' Blends in Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry, I colored in my Flowers and Buds and fussy cut everything out.

I adhered the Flowers, Bud Stems and Leaf Stems with Mono Multi Purpose Glue on the tips of the Stems only leaving the tops free of adhesive.  I adhered Mini Stampin' Dimensionals underneath the top 2 flowers to give them a little height.

I trimmed off about a 1/4" of one of the Tags from SU's new Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.  (Save the longer portion for the inside of your card.)

Using SU's Apron of Love Stamp Set, (returning in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog) I stamped Mom onto the Shorter end of the Tag in Rich Razzleberry Ink.

I cut a length of the Pearized Thread from SU's new Share What You Love Embellishment Kit, thread it through the slit in the Tag, around the Velvet Ribbon and tied it into a double knot.

For the inside of my Card:

I trimmed out a panel of Mossy Meadow Cardstock to measure 4" x 5-1/4" and adhered the panel to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I trimmed out a panel of Whisper White Cardstock to measure 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" and adhered the panel over the Mossy Meadow panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using my SU Sponge Brayer, I brayered Rich Razzleberry Ink over the back of one of SU's new Pearlized Doilies and adhered it to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue leaving the edges free of adhesive.

Using SU's A Mother's Flair Stamp Set (Retiring), I stamped my Sentiment in Rich Razzleberry Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock, cut the words out on my SU Trimmer and adhered the words to the Longer portion of the Tag with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

I adhered the Tag to the Doily with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered 2 of SU's new Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to my Card and one to my Tag as shown in the picture above.

SU's new Share What You Love Specialty DSP is chock full of beautiful Flower and Texture patterns.  It's a new FAVE for me!!!

Wishing you all a warm and sunny day!!!

Blessings!

Lynn

In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colors, Stampin' Up! decided it was time to give their color collections a makeover.

With this revamp, you’ll not only have new products, but also have a new variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more sides of your crafting.

There are still four color collections, each with ten colors. There is also a new color group called Basics.
.
In order to keep their color collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, they moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection and also moved a few colors into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colorful!

Some additional colors have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  These changes were based on needing to maintain color balance in our updated collections.

In addition to new colors, they also redesigned their ink pads. The case is a new, more intuitive design and they’ve improved the formula of the ink, as well! We think you will love these changes.

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I was able to order the new In-Color Ink Pads and I just LOVE the new design.  Stampin' Up! never ceases to amaze me!

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
