Stampin' Up Vertical Garden Project Kit

Well, here we go again!  We are supposed to have a Wintry mix of rain, freezing rain and snow after 5PM tonight and into tomorrow which will make the roads a mess again.  Our temperatures by the end of the week will be in the 50's.  Such weird weather for January in Michigan.

My share for today is Stampin' Up's Vertical Garden Project Kit.  The Vertical Garden Project Kit coordinates with the Vertical Garden Stamp Set which is sold separately.  It makes for such an adorable Home Decor piece.  The finished size is 7-1/4" x 12-3/4".

The Kit includes die-cut cardstock flower pieces and banners, Very Vanilla Ribbon and a frame.

Here's a picture of the contents of the Kit.

Let's take a look at the one I made:

I had so much fun putting this together.  I'll be hanging my Vertical Garden in my Studio for a long time to come.  I love everything about it.

I LOVE how the scrunched up Very Vanilla Ribbon ties into a Bow and falls down the sides of the Frame.

Stampin' Up's Vertical Garden Stamp Set is way too cool.  It has Solid Image Stamps and Outline Image Stamps.  As you can see on my banner in the picture above, the Hello is stamped Solid in Calypso Coral Ink and the Outline is stamped in Tip Top Taupe Ink.  So, so pretty!!!

Pictured above is the middle of the frame.  I have a Petal Roller Tool that I use to roll up my Roses.  It has a slot in one end so you just put the end of the Rose Paper in the slot and roll it up.  The other end has a metal ball so you can curl your petals if you want.

I did some of my Roses a little different.  If you look at the Calypso Coral Square of Paper in the Contents picture that I showed at the top of my blog post, you can see how the Rose is die cut in the paper.  After removing the Rose, you are left with the Square and a Skinny Circular piece in the Center.  I trimmed off the Skinny Circular piece out of the Center and rolled it up also to make some Smaller Roses and tucked them into some of the little open spaces next to the BIG Roses.  A little added BANG for your BUCK.

Here is a picture of the bottom of the Frame.  Aren't those Flowers gorgeous!!!

Another idea would be to sponge the edges of the Flowers like a Succulent Flower.  Like the Green Color Flowers could be sponged with Perfect Plum Ink or Rich Razzleberry.  Gosh, that would be pretty!

And, I guess the Succulent Flowers are actually called 'Balloons' which I didn't know!

The coordinating colors are Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, Tip Top Taupe, Very Vanilla and Wild Wasabi.

Remember, Sale-A-Bration began on January 4, 2017 and runs through March 31st.  During Sale-A-Bration, you get a free item of your choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure for every $50 you spend (before shipping and tax).

O.K.  I'm off to hang my Vertical Garden in my Studio and finish up a couple projects.

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!
