Stampin' Up Pocketful of Cheer Paper Pumpkin Kit III

Now the rain moved in last night and for all day today.  I guess I should be happy that it's not the white stuff.

The weekend is supposed to be cold again too!  It would be nice to have a warm weekend so we can work out in the yard.  We have so many tree limbs down from all the storms that we've had.  Anyways, our yard looks terrible and can't wait to get it cleaned up!

Today's Stampin' Up Pocketful of Cheer Paper Pumpkin Kit alternate card is for my Great Nephew Joey.  Ya' See, I'm not just a Good Aunt; I'm a Great Aunt.  Anyways, Joey has a birthday coming up.

Let's take a look at my card:

How cool is that!!!  I made a rocket ship out of the bottom half of the gift card holder that comes in the Stampin' UP Pocketful of Cheer Paper Pumpkin Kit!

My card base is SU Soft Sky Cardstock11" x 4-1/4" scored and folded at 5-1/2".

I used the Stars Mask from SU's Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks Set and sponged the Stars on to the Soft Sky card base with Daffodil Delight Ink.

I cut the Kraft gift card holder in half and rounded each top corner by putting the corner in a SU Oval Punch and punching it off.

I trimmed up one of the Bermuda Bay adhesive strips that come in the kit and adhered them to the angled bottom edges of the gift card holder using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I adhered 3 of the small banners that come in the kit to the bottom center of the gift card holder using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.  I wanted it to look like exhaust coming out of the rocket ship.  I also adhered a small triangle to the top of the banners.

I adhered some thin strips of the gift card holder and a strip of paper that comes in the kit to the rocket ship for stripes using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I popped out the small round tags that come in the kit and punched out around the holes of the remaining paper with SU's 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  This gave me the blue and white ring around the little boy.

I punched out a 1-3/8" Circle from a piece of SU's Window Sheet and adhered it to the ring using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I masked off and stamped the little boy from SU's Fall For All Stamp Set (Retired) in Memento Black Ink on SU's Whisper White Cardstock.

I colored the little boy using the following Stampin' Write Markers; hair-Soft Suede; Face-Pink Pirouette; Sweater-Cajun Craze.  I punched out the stamped and colored little boy using SU's 1-3/8" Circle Punch and adhered him to the back of the window sheet ring.  I then put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and adhered him to the rocket ship.

The last thing to do was to add the green half pearls to the center stripe and the triangle.

That's all I have for today.  Hope you enjoyed my card.

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  Please be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
