Stampin' Up Love Blossom Punches Photo Album II

And, another absolutely gorgeous day outside today!!!  It's 60 plus degrees out and pure sun so as soon as I finish my blog post, I'm going to go outside and work on some more yard clean up.

Today, I'm sharing the photo album that I made for my Great Nephew, Joey.  Ya' see, I'm not just a Good Aunt; I'm a Great Aunt!  =)

This photo album is called a 'Flip Flop Photo Album' and you can find many video's for it by searching the internet.  It is a really cool album design and probably not for a beginner paper crafter.

My thoughts were to make the photo album and punch out and die cut a whole bunch of different cardstock pieces so that Joey can put whatever pictures that he wants in the album and then he can decorate/embellish it himself using the punched and die cut pieces.  I think that he will have fun making his album his own.

This album would make a great Project Life Album also.  You could use journal cards along with your pictures to capture and document trips, parties, occasions, pets; etc.

Yesterday, I shared the photo album that I made for my Great Niece, Bree.  Ya' see, I'm not just a Good Aunt; I'm a Great Aunt!!!   =)   If you missed yesterdays post, you can click on the Lynn,s Locker title at the top of this page and then you can scroll through all the previous blog posts.

Let's get started with Joey's Photo Album:

For my photo album, I used Stampin' Up's Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack for all the pages and cover.  I chose Go Wild Paper as it is mostly animal prints and Joey and I have such a passion for animals.

The coordinating SU colors are Basic Black, Tip Top Taupe and Whisper White.

My entire photo album base is made of SU Basic Black Cardstock.

I did add a dinosaur and a bird on the front cover using some Non-SU Die's with Whisper White Cardstock.  Now, Joey would have the real names of the Dinosaur and the bird; but, I have no idea what they are called.

The picture above shows the album cover opened up.

There's tons of room for pictures and embellishments on the pages and the doors of each section.

Then you 'flip' 'flop' the next two sections open.

And, you have another set of 'flip' 'flop' sections.  There are 3 sets of doors inside the album.  You just keep 'flip flopping' doors open and closed.  The picture above is the first set of doors.

The black thingy in the center is the end of a pair of SU Paper Snips.  I set them there to help keep the door closed when photographing.

Pictured above are the 3 sets of doors.  When each of these are opened, there's another page with doors.

Sometimes, it got a little confusing on which doors or pages to put the correct paper on so you can keep the doors and pages consistently papered with the correct patterns.  With Joey's album, I just used all the prints in the paper stack as I knew he would like them all different.

I have to admit too that this was really, really hard to photograph.

And, I love my scissors...I have a set of Fiskars, Cutter Bee and Stampin' Up holding the doors closed!  This is only the start of my scissor addiction!  =)

Some close up pictures...

And, some close ups of the doors open...

I punched out a lot of different pieces in coordinating colors for Joey to embellish his photo album.  There's owls, birds, dinosaurs, tags, whales, Trees, balloons, leaves, leaf stems; etc.

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  Please be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
