Stampin' Up Birthday Bouquet Sketched Dots Glassine Bag with Butterfllies Thinlits

Well, it's not raining today; but, it's another dreary and cloudy day!  My Clematis, Daffodils and Fruit Tree's are all budding very nicely.  I'm hoping that there isn't going to be any more frost or very high winds so that it would be a good year for our flowers and Fruit Tree's!!!

Today, I'd like to share a Glassine Treat Bag that Stampin' Up shared with us in our Succeed Weekly e-mail.  When you are a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, you receive a Stampin' Success Magazine and a Succeed Weekly e-mail that are just loaded with great Stampin' idea's, projects and much, much more!

Stampin' Up's Glassine Bag is a flat bag.  The one that I'm sharing with you today is SU's flat Sketched Dots Glassine Bag that I made into a gusseted bag.  So, if you are interested in the instructions to make the the gusseted bag, please e-mail me at dodge3670@aol.com or leave me a comment on this blog post and I'll put the instructions on my blog next week.

O.K., let's take a look:

Isn't that gorgeous!!!  It was designed by one of the Concept Artist at Stampin' Up.  Mine isn't exactly like the one that Stampin' Up showed; but, pretty darn close.

The Sketched Dots Glassine Bag, Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper are on Stampin' Up's retiring list so if you are interested, and there are any left, you may want to check them out now and place your order.

I started my embellishing by punching a circle using SU's 2" Circle Punch from SU Whisper White Cardstock.

I trimmed out a piece of SU's Birthday Bouquet Cardstock at 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" and punched one end with SU's Note Tag Punch and the other end with SU's Triple Banner Punch.  I adhered the tag to the punched circle using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I die cut a piece of SU's Blushing Bride Cardstock and a piece of SU's Vellum using SU's Butterflies Thinlits Dies.  I sponged the center of the vellum butterfly with Blushing Bride Ink.

I took an 8-1/2" piece of SU's Pool Party Glitter Ribbon and the two butterfly die cuts and stapled them to my tag.

Here are some side view pictures.

I fussy cut a small bunch of flowers from SU's Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and adhered them to the center of the butterfly using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I tied a bow using SU's Basic Black Baker's Twine and adhered it just above the butterfly using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I took one of the Gold Paper Clips from SU's You're So Lovely Project Kit and clipped my tag to my new Glassine Bag.

I'm pushin' the LOVE BUTTON on this one!  Gorgeous!!!

That's all I have for today!  Please come back Monday where I'll be sharing some more projects from Stampin' Up!

Hope you have a great weekend!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!

If you are interested in purchasing Stampin' Up products, you can order from me on-line at www.stampinup.com and please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator.
