Botanicals for You and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack Card Class by Stampin' Up IIII

On my blog post last week, I started sharing a Stampin' Up Botanicals for You Card Class that Stampin' Up so generously shared with us Demonstrators to use for teaching classes.  It has instructions to make 4 cards and a card box holder using SU's Botanicals for You Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set, Botanical Blooms Stamp Set, Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack and Botanical Builder Framelits Die's.  I am also going to share some envelopes, gift tags and a gift tag box holder that I designed which revolves around the design of SU's class.

So, stay tuned to my blog the rest of this week and next week to take advantage of all the cards, tags, box holders, pictures and instructions.

Let's get started with sharing our fourth card:

The entire Stampin' Up Botanicals Suite is just so elegant, so pretty and so fun to work with!

My card base is SU Mint Macaron Cardstock and is cut at 8" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" (different from the normal A2 card measurements).

I used the Basic Black Large Floral pattern from SU's Botanical Garden Designer Series Paper and cut it at 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" and adhered it to the left side of my card base using Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I used the Medium Floral Outline Pattern Vellum from SU's Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack and cut it at 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" and stamped it with the Just for You stamp in SU's Botanicals for You Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set using SU's Black StazOn Ink.  I adhered it to the right side of my card base (overlaps the floral pattern about 3/8") using Mono Multi Purpose Glue behind the letters only in the stamped image.  (You don't want your glue to show through your vellum.)

I die-cut one Large Flower using SU's Botanical Builder Framelits Die's from SU's Cajun Craze Cardstock.  I stamped the little flowers from SU's Botanical Blooms Stamp Set 3 times onto SU's Hello Honey Card Stock.  I die-cut one Small and one Medium flower from SU's Hello Honey Cardstock and one Small flower from the flower stamped Hello Honey Card Stock.  I used my Petal Roller Tool and gave some texture to my flowers by curling and cupping the flower petals.

Then I die cut the Spoke flower center from SU's Basic Black Cardstock. .

I removed the petals from the Large Cajun Craze flower.  Using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue, I adhered the Small Hello Honey flower to the Medium Hello Honey flower and then to the Large Cajun Craze Flower without the petals.  I added the spoke flower center using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I adhered the two flowers to my card front panel using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I added SU's Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the centers of my flowers.

Gorgeous!!!

These cards turned out so elegant and so pretty that I decided to make my own envelopes with liners on SU's Envelope Punch Board.

I used the 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" (A2) size and SU's Whisper White Cardstock and followed the directions on my Envelope Punch Board to make my envelopes.  I also used the Reverse punch to round the top corner on the flap of my envelope.

In the picture above (from my first card), for my Envelope Liner, if you measure 'one side' of your envelope flap, from the top point down to one corner, you will get approximately 4".  So, I selected the small floral DSP pattern to match my card and cut it at 4" x 4" and rounded the top corner with the Reverse punch on the Envelope Punch Board.

I then slid the bottom corner of the DSP (the opposite corner from the rounded corner) into the envelope and folded it at the crease of the envelopes flap making sure to leave enough room on the flap for adhesive for when you eventually need to seal the envelope.  I then adhered the 'flap portion only' to the envelope using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I just LOVE the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for visiting my blog.  I hope you enjoyed this card share from Stampin' Up and me.  Come back on tomorrow and I will share the card box holder with you.

Have a great day!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  Please be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
