Delicate Ornaments Gift Bags

Goodness, I'm quite late posting today.  My phones and internet were out most of the day.

I've had these two gift bags made since May and haven't decorated them yet!  Aren't they just adorable!!!

The gift bags were made with the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper.  I cut an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of the DSP and scored it at 1 1/2" with the short end at the top of my Stampin' Trimmer.  With the long end at the top, I scored it at 1 1/2", 4", 5 1/2" and 8".  Fold on all score lines.  Cut your score lines up to the 1 1/2" mark for your bottom tabs and cut the one small tab off.  I used the new Stampin' Up Tear & Tape adhesive for the side panel to seal the flap closed.  I then put tape on two of the tabs and folded them closed to form the bottom of the bag.  I held the top edges of the bag closed and lightly pinched down the sides to form the gussets.

I die cut some SU Red Foil paper and some SU Gold Glimmer paper with the new Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies available to order Sept 1 in the new 2015 Holiday Catalog.

I stamped the word peace found in the new Peaceful Wreath stamp set in Versamark and embossed it with SU Gold Embossing Powder, punched it out with SU's Retired Small Oval Punch, sponged SU Real Red Ink lightly around the edges and adhered it to the center of the ornament with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The leaf stem was punched out of SU's Old Olive card stock and tucked behind the Sentiment with a touch of Multi Purpose Mono Glue to hold it in place.

I tied a bow with SU's new Silver Cording, also available to order Sept. 1st, and used Multi Purpose Mono Glue to adhere it to the top of the ornament.

The Christmas hook was die cut with SU's Silver foil and glued to the top center of the gift bag and I hung the ornament from the hook.

So, when the recipient receives my gift bag as a present, they will not only have a yummy chocolate treat on the inside of the bag, but a pretty, shiny ornament on the outside also to hang on their Christmas tree.  Or, I stamped TO and FROM on the back of the ornament so they could use it for a tag on a Christmas present if they choose to do so.

This ornament I made the same as the first only switched up some colors.  I'm in LOVE with the new Silver and Gold cording.  The bow's are so easy to tie and the shine is tremendous!!!

I masked and embossed the word Believe from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set also available to order Sept. 1st.
