My share for today is a Graduation Card that I designed using products from Stampin' Up!'s 2022 Mini Occasions Catalog, the NEW 2022 Mini Holiday Catalog and/or the NEW Stampin' Up! May 2022-April 2023 Annual Catalog and more. Let's take a look:
Congratulations to our Great Niece, Madison, who graduated last month. We are so proud of you and your accomplishments. Madi also played Lacrosse in High School and signed a National Letter of Intent with a Division 11 College to play Lacrosse. Congrats again Madi.
Lacrosse - noun
a game, originated by Indians of North America, in which two 10-member teams attempt to send a small ball into each other's netted goal, each player being equipped with a crosse or stick at the end of which is a netted pocket for catching, carrying, or throwing the ball.
My Card Base is Thick Basic White Cardstock.
My Card Front Panel is Basic Black Cardstock.
Using the NEW Breaking News Stamp Set, I stamped the Newspaper in Pumpkin Pie Ink onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock. (Normally, Newspapers are like a Sahara Sand color; but, I wanted to make the Newspaper in Madi's School and Lacrosse colors.)
I stamped 'Breaking News' in Memento Black Ink onto the top of the Newspaper.
I stamped 'Congratulations' onto a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock, die cut it out with the Small Banner Die in the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered it to the Newspaper with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the Scroll onto a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock, fussy cut it out and adhered it to my Newspaper.
Using the NEW Alphabest Stamp Set, I stamped 'Madi' in Black Memento Ink onto the Newspaper.
I fussy cut out the Newspaper and adhered it to my Card with Tear & Tape Adhesive on the two sides and bottom of the Newspaper to create my Slider Pocket.
For the Slider:
Using the Deckled Rectangles Dies, I die cut out a Rectangle and trimmed off the bottom of the Rectangle so it fit in the Slider Pocket.
Using the New Design A Treat Box Dies, I die cut out two of the Bows from Basic White Cardstock and adhered one to the front and one to the back of the Rectangle at the top of the Rectangle.
Using the NEW Celebrating You Stamp Set, I stamped 'So proud of you' three times down the front and three times down the back of the Rectangle.
I then folded Madi's gift check in thirds and tied it to the Sliding Rectangle with Very Vanilla Baker's Twine from Stampin' Up!'s Baker's Twine Essentials Pack as shown in the picture above.
Pictured above is the back of the Rectangle.
Using the Celebrating You Stamp Set, I stamped my Saying in Memento Black Ink onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and die cut it out with one of the Circles in the Stylish Shapes Dies.
I also die cut out a Circle from Basic White and Basic Black Cardstocks.
I adhered the Circles together and to the inside of my Card.
For the Lacrosse Stick (Crosse):
I trimmed out two skinny slats of Basic Black Cardstock and partially adhered them together for the Stick (Crosse) leaving one end free of adhesive so I could adhere the Netted Pocket inbetween the two slats.
I wrapped the adhered end of the Stick (Crosse) with Very Vanilla Baker's Twine.
Using the Celebrations Tag Dies, I die cut out the Dotted Die from Basic Black Cardstock, trimmed it out into the shape of the Netted Pocket and adhered it inbetween the two slats.
