PREPARE TO SALE-A-BRATE!
AUGUST 3 - SEPTEMBER 30, 2021
Sale-A-Bration is one of Stampin' Up!'s biggest promotions of the year. It’s packed with perks for demonstrators, overflowing with opportunities for customers and filled with fun for everyone!

My share for today is an Alternate Project that I designed using the contents from Stampin' Up!'s August 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Hope Box.  Stampin' Up! cofounder, Shelli Gardner, created the Hope Box to help us find what makes us hopeful.  We can collect mementos and precious objects and keep a curated Hope Box as a place to turn to for some self-love and inspiration.  Thank you so much Shelli for such a beautiful kit.  Let's take a look:

This was a fun; but, long project and very well worth the effort!!!

For the Belly Band; I trimmed out a strip of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to measure 1-1/2" x 8", folded it around a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box and secured it in the middle on the top of the box with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I trimmed out a panel of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to measure 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" and adhered it to the Belly Band with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered a Square Vellum Doily to the top of the Box with Mono Multi Purpose Glue in the center of the Doily only.

I adhered three die cuts from the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack to top of the Box with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I cut a length of the Blackberry Bliss Ribbon from the Hope Box Kit, frayed the Ribbon, tied it in the center with knot and adhered it to the Box with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered one of the Butterflies from the Kit to the top of the knot in the Ribbon with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

You slide the Belly Band off of the Box, open the box up and, Yay!, there are four 3" x 3" Cards and matching Envelopes inside!!!

For my 3" x 3" Cards inside the Mini Paper Pumpkin Box:

I trimmed out panel of Blackberry Bliss, Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay and Bumble Bee Cardstocks to measure 3" x 6" and scored in the middle at 3".  I folded the four Cards in half at the score.

I trimmed out the White/Multi Color Card Base in the kit for four panels to measure 2-1/8" x 2-3/4" each and adhered one panel to each Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set, I stamped 'Birthday Wishes' in Blackberry Bliss Ink on the bottom left corner.

Using my Stampin' Snips, I snipped apart the large Flower/Butterfly/Swirl die cut from the kit so I had lots of pieces to work with.

I adhered pieces of the Peach or Apple Swirl, not sure what it is called, and adhered them to the bottom right corner where the spirals are in the Card Base panel as shown in the picture above.  (I pretty much just went by the images on the Card Base panels; Swirls on Swirl images, Butterflies on Butterfly images and Flowers on Flower images.

I trimmed the Flower in half and adhered the half Flower and a Butterfly to the Card Base panel.

I trimmed out four panels of Whisper White Cardstock to measure 2-1/8" x 2-3/4" and adhered them to the inside of my Cards.

Using the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set, I stamped my Saying on the inside of my Card in Blackberry Bliss Ink.  (You can always stamp your saying onto the panel before adhering it to the inside of your Card in case you stamp it crooked.)

This was a really hard part for me as I have arthritis so bad in my fingers; but, I held down one of the small Butterflies onto a 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" Whisper White Envelope and brushed over it with my Stampin' Up! Blending Brush and Blackberry Bliss Ink.  Then, you carefully lift off the small Butterfly and you have the white image of the Envelope show through in the Butterfly pattern.

If you lay the die cut down with the white side up, then you will still have its original color on the bottom of the die cut and Blackberry Bliss on the the top of the image.  So, all the die cuts have white underneath and you can make them any color you want by brushing on any color of ink.

I did the same for my Poppy Parade Card except:  Using the Hand-Drawn Blooms Stamp Set, I stamped 'Friend' in Poppy Parade Ink the bottom right corner.

I stamped my Saying from the Hand-Drawn Blooms Stamp Set on the inside of my Card with Poppy Parade Ink.

For this Envelope; I laid down one of the Large Flowers and blended Poppy Parade Ink for the white image.

I did the same for this Card except; Using the In Your Words Stamp Set, I stamped 'Happy Birthday' in Bermuda Bay Ink on the upper right corner of my Card.

Using the 'In Your Words' Stamp Set, I stamped my Saying in Bermuda Bay Ink on the inside of my Card.

Using the Hope Box Stamp Set, I stamped the Flower/Swirl stamp in Bermuda Bay Ink onto the Flap of the Envelope.  I did this for each Envelope in the respective Ink color.

I blended Bermuda Bay Ink over a small Butterfly on the Envelope.

I did the same for this Card except; Using the Best Year Stamp Set, I stamped my 'hip hip hooray!' in Bumble Bee Ink onto the bottom right corner.

I blended Bumble Bee Ink over a large Flower die cut for the Envelope.

Using the Best Year Stamp Set, I stamped my Saying in Bumble Bee Ink on the inside of my Card.
