Stampin' Up!'s April 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit - So Cool - Four Alternate Cards In A Watermelon Boat & A Rainbow Basket - 3D Project - II

It's a nice day outside today in Midland, Michigan.  We had some thunderstorms move through in the wee hours of the morning.  I hope it helps with the drought that we are going through as we haven't had rain in a long time.  Our high temp for today is 67F with a low tonight of 44F.  The winds are NW at 10 to 15mph.

Don't forget about the Last Chance Products Sale going on at Stampin' Up!  Here's a link to Stampin' Up!.  Please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator.   Click on this link  Stampin' Up! - Decorative Stamps, Handmade Cards, & Papercrafting

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I was able to pre-order from Stampin' Up!'s new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  There are some amazing, amazing new products!!!  😊😊😊

My share for today is a Rainbow Basket with a Rainbow Handle that I designed using Stampin' Up!'s April 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit called So Cool and more.  Let's take a look:

Since Stampin' Up!'s April 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, So Cool, was designed around Kids, I designed a Watermelon Boat with four Cards and some Air Head Candy and this time I designed a Rainbow Basket.

I couldn't stop with just the Watermelon Boat that I shared with you on Monday so, I had to make a Rainbow Basket too!!!  Today, I'll provide the instructions on how to make them.  (Sorry!  I was supposed to do that yesterday; but, please don't fault me as it was such a beautiful, warm day outside that I took advantage of it!!!  It was nice to feel the sun on my face!)  Anyways, below is a picture of the Watermelon Boat with the Cards and Air Head Candy that I shared with you on Monday.

O.K., on to the instructions.

I started out with a strip of Whisper White Cardstock cut to measure 2" x 8-1/2".  I snipped out little notches on each side of the strip as shown in the picture above.

I trimmed one of the Rainbow Cards from Stampin' Up!'s April 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, So Cool, in half.

I used my fingers to manipulate the Cardstock so it would give it a little curve upwards to make it easier to adhere to the Card Half.  I adhered the little notches to one of the Card halves with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.  I trimmed off any excess Cardstock from the Strip.  I then adhered the second Half of the Card to the other side.

I traced one of the Card Halves twice onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and fussy cut them out.  I whittled them down to fit each side of the Basket on the inside to cover the notches.  Once I had them to fit properly, I adhered them to both sides of the inside of the Basket.

For the Handle:

I trimmed out a strip of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to measure 1-1/4" x 11", a strip of Bermuda Bay Cardstock to measure 3/4" x 11" and a strip of Calypso Coral Cardstock to measure 1/4" x 11".

I adhered the three strips together with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

I adhered each end of the Handle to the Basket with Silver Brads.

I covered the ends of the Brads on each end of the inside of the Basket with one of the Silver Glimmer Rectangles from the Kit.

I fussy cut out one of the Sun Stickers from the Kit.  I pulled up the bottom half of the Adhesive Liner, stuck it to the front corner of my Basket and adhered the Liner down in the back with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I then filled my Basket with Candy.

Make something Cute and Brilliant today!!!

Tell someone you LOVE them and/or give someone an AIR HUG today!!!

Have a Blessed Day!!!
