Sneak Peek Floating & Fluttering, Many Messages, Blending Brushes - Sympathy & Happy Cards

Well, we got about five inches of Snow in Midland, Michigan last night and now we are expected to have some occasional light rain throughout the day.  Our high temp for the today is 37F with a low of 24F for tonight.  The winds are WSW at 10 to 20mph.

We didn't have a very good day yesterday.  My Brother-in-law is in the hospital with chest pains and we don't have any updates so far which makes me a wreck and always the Worry Wart.  My Dad always said that I was the Worry Wart of the family.  And, of course, you can't go to the hospital to see him because of the pandemic.  And, on top of that, Randy's Uncle's Wife passed away.  So, the year 2020 is still raising havoc in our lives along with everything else that's happened this year.  As if surviving two major surgeries for me and one for my Hubby wasn't enough!!!  I guess I'm continuing with my Pitty Party from yesterday so let's go ahead and lighten this up!!!

My share for today is two Cards that my Great Lakes Demographic Demonstrator Manager, Shannon West, designed and shared with us at our virtual OnStage Event.  Shannon used the new Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes and the Floating & Fluttering Stamp Set and the coordinating Fluttering Dies.  Let's take a look:

My Card Base and Card Front Panel are Smoky Slate Cardstock.  Shannon didn't provide the dimensions of the Card Front Panel.  So, what I did, was to trim out a Panel of Smoky Slate Cardstock to measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  I then trimmed off 1/2" from the bottom side to the top corner of the Panel.  Then I trimmed off the bottom right corner 1/2" to 1/4" on the left corner.  I hope I got that right.

I adhered my Card Front Panel to my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I absolutely LOVE the Layout of Shannon's Card!!!  I hope I got my measurements right!!!

I trimmed out a Panel of Whisper White Cardstock to measure 3" x 4".

Using the new Floating & Fluttering Stamp Set, I stamped the Cluster of Butterflies/Stems in Memento Black Ink several times arranging them into a Collage.  And, there's a coordinating die for the Cluster of Butterflies/Stems Stamp plus more.  Yay!!!

And, this is SO GREAT...I used Stampin' Up!'s new Blending Brushes to apply my Ink to my Collage.  I highly recommend these brushes and I don't think that I will ever use a Sponge or Sponge Dauber ever again!!!  Well, maybe a Dauber to apply Ink in Circles or the Center of a Flower or....  Anyways, that's how much I LOVE the new Blending Brushes.

So, I started with So Saffron Ink and blended the whole Panel as Shannon did.

I then blended Crushed Curry Ink around the Bottom and Right Side and a little in between, again, as Shannon did.

I adhered my Panel to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using the Coordinating Fluttering Dies, I die cut out one Solid Butterfly and three Detail Butterflies from Whisper White Cardstock.

I adhered one Butterfly under the top left corner and one under the bottom right corner with Mono Multi Purpose Glue in the center of the body of the Butterfly only allowing one wing to be free of adhesive.

I adhered the last Detail Butterfly to the last Solid Butterfly with Mono Multi Purpose Glue in the Center of the Body of the Butterfly only.  I then adhered the Butterfly to the Card with a skinny strip of Stampin' Dimensional.

Using the Thoughts & Prayers Stamp Set (Retired), I stamped my Saying onto So Saffron Cardstock and die cut it out with the new Messages Die.  I also die cut out a tiny Flower.

(The new Many Messages Stamp Set is one solid stamp with 23 phrases and images on it and the Coordinating Messages Die is one die that die cuts out all 23 phrases and images in one pass on the new Stampin' Up! Cut & Emboss Machine.)  Shannon refers to the Cut & Emboss Machine as the 'BOSS'...and I totally agree.  LOVE!!!

I adhered my Saying and the Little Flower to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

For the inside of my Card, I blended some So Saffron Ink in the center of the Card.

I stamped my Saying and used the Messages Die to die cut it out.  I also die cut out another tiny Flower.

I adhered it to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

For this Card, I did mostly the same except.

I adhered my Card Front Panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I used Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo Inks to Blend my Panel.  I adhered my Panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using the new Messages Die, I die cut out a Label from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

Using the New Many Messages Stamp Set, I stamped my Saying in Memento Black Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock.

I adhered the Saying to my Label and adhered it to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I used my new Blending Brushes to Blend Blushing Bride Ink to the center of the inside of my Card.

I stamped another Saying and adhered it to the inside of my Card.

I'm glad I could end my Blog Post with a Happy Card!!!
