Stampin' Up Confetti Celebration Always An Adventure Outdoor Adventure Challenge Card

Well, we will be back into the mid to high 80's today and with that returns the muggy, humidity.  I did see on the weather portion of the news that we are to expect mid to high 90's by weeks end.  Oh boy!!!

Today I have a fun challenge card to share with you.  My Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie, sent me a packet of Stampin' Up elements to design a card.  The goal was to use everything included in the packet and that you could add from your personal stash if you wanted too!

Let's take a look at what I came up with:

Kadie's color choices were excellent and she had already stamped the Time to Party sentiment so the theme was already set.  I immediately thought of balloons; but, I didn't want to use just a regular balloon.  Then I thought, hmmmm...Hot Air Balloons, yes!!!  I went and pulled my new Stampin' Up Always An Adventure Stamp Set and went to work on my creation!

My card base is SU Mint Macaron Cardstock cut at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored and folded at 4-1/4".

The first card front panel is SU Emerald Envy Cardstock cut at 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" and was adhered to the card base using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

There was just enough SU Emerald Envy Ribbon in the packet to make my bow.  I wrapped it around the SU Whisper White Cardstock, tied it into a knot with two small pieces that I snipped off the ends and then I adhered the panel to the first card front panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered the SU Gold Metal Bow Paper Clip to the center of my Emerald Envy bow using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I adhered a SU Tempting Turquoise Heart Enamel Shape to the center of the Metal Bow.

Using SU's Always An Adventure Stamp Set, I stamped the Hot Air Balloons in SU Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise and Rose Red Inks on to the respective pieces of cardstock.

Using SU's coordinating Outdoor Adventure Framelits, I die cut out the Hot Air Balloons and adhered them as shown in the picture using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals.

I saved the popped out pieces from the Hot Air Balloons and adhered them around the sentiment using my SU Fine Tip Glue Bottle.

Using my Wink of Stella Brush, I painted over the little banners in the Hot Air Balloons to give them a pretty glittery shine!

The Wink of Stella glittery shine is really hard to photograph; but, you can see it pretty good in the pictures.

I'm really happy with the way my card turned out!

Kadie's challenge was so much fun!  I haven't done anything like this before and I really enjoyed it.  Thanks so much Kadie!!!

That's all I have for today!  Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Have a great day!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
