Stampin' Up Sneak Peek Love You Lots & Many Manly Occasions May Paper Pumpkin Kit - Gift Card Box

Wa Hooooo!!!  I placed my order from the new 2016-2017 Stampin' Up Annual Catalog this morning.  I can't wait to get all the new treasures in my hands.  I am going to have soooo much fun creating lots of new goodies!!!

And, I know, I know...I'm still going in reverse.  I promise I will share the two cards from Stampin' Up's Many Manly Occasions Monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit for May as per the instructions of the kit next week.  I'm just too excited to share with you the 3D projects that I designed first.

So, for today, my share is a 3D Gift Card Box that I made using a card from SU's Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin kit.  And then I'll share the cards inside the Gift Card Box and the two Paper Pumpkin cards the rest of this week and next.

Let's take a look:

Isn't it neat!!!  I made the Gift Card Box from one of the cards from Stampin' Up's Many Manly Occasions May Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I designed the cards inside the Gift Card Box using SU's new Host Stamp Set called Lots of Love.  I'll share these cards with you starting tomorrow.

I took one of the cards with the lattice design on it that came in the Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit and cut the entire front of the card with the lattice design on it right off.

Taking the lattice design piece, score it just underneath the larger lattice design in the solid white part and just above the shorter lattice design in the solid white part.  Fold on score lines.  The solid white part will be the bottom of your Gift Card Box.

Using the back of the card that you cut off, trim out 2 pieces at 1-1/2" x 1-5/8".  Score both pieces at 1/4" on both of the taller sides and one of the shorter sides.  Fold score lines and apply Stampin' Up's Tear & Tape to each of the 3 scored 1/4" sides and adhere them to the lattice piece on each end to create the sides of the box.

Above is a picture of the back of the box.  This is where I started weaving Stampin' Up's new Flirty Flamingo 3/8" Ruched Ribbon through the lattice in the back of the box.

Above is a picture of the side where the ribbon just wraps around the side and through the front.

Above is a picture of the inside of the box so you can see how the sides were adhered to the lattice piece.

And, a picture of the front of the box where I tied my bow.

Wouldn't it look cute with a treat in the bottom and some flowers coming out and up the 'lattice trellis'!!!

Well, that's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Have a good day!

The below picture was intentionally left at this size as I am entering my project in the Paper Pumpkin Challenge at http://mypumpkinchallenge.blogspot.com/ when the challenge opens up in June.

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!

If you are interested in purchasing Stampin' Up products, you can order from me on-line at www.stampinup.com and please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator.

  3. Brilliant! I would never have thought of making such a clever box - the lattice adds such a dramatic effect! I also love how you threaded the ribbon through - have to try that! Thanks for sharing at My Pumpkin Challenge!
