Stampin' Up Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Cards II

Well, I had another bitter-sweet day yesterday!  It was my Cousin Debs' Sons, Cody, graduation yesterday and my Aunt Dee, Deb's Mom and Cody's Grandmother, passed away that morning!  Such a Sweet, Fun, Loving Aunt!

I'll never forget my Aunt Dee.  At my Wedding Shower, she gave me a 3 tier, glass shelf cosmetic stand.  When the Shower was over, my Aunt Dee came up to me and said, "Now Lynn Ann, every time you dust it; think of me!".  And I did too!  I'd think, you darn Aunt Dee you, and then I'd crack up laughing!

When my Mom lived with us and Aunt Dee and her whole crew came out to visit us, they turned on the wrong end of our road.  I live out in the Boon Toolies so some of our roads are like two trackers or impassable and you really don't want to drive on them and, of course, that's one of the type of roads they turned on to.  And, GPS is not correct around here.  Anyways, when they finally arrived at my house, my Aunt Dee grabbed my arm, told me the story of the road and said; "Lynn Ann, I'm telling you, even my Parkinson's was nervous!"  She could always make me laugh no matter what!

The graduation went on in spite of the loss and everyone put on brave faces!  We all knew that my Aunt Dee was there in spirit.  I'll miss her dearly!

Today, I'm sharing my second Stampin' Up Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin alternate card.  Let's take a look:

This time, I designed my own T-Shirt and Tie using the contents of the May Paper Pumpkin kit called Many Manly Occasions, SU Whisper White Cardstock and a scrap of SU Night of Navy Cardstock.

My card base is SU's Whisper White Cardstock cut at 3" x 6" and scored and folded at 3".

I used the Corrugated Cardstock in the kit for the T-Shirt.  The base of the T-Shirt is 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" and adhered to my card base using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

Again, with the help of SU's Flower Medallion Punch and a little fussy cutting, I was able to make the collar.  I used the points of the Flower Medallion and some scraps of SU Night of Navy Cardstock from my stash to make each side and the tie center!

I trimmed out a piece of a card back from the kit for the tie on my Stampin' Up trimmer and that is a little hard to explain.  It's about 2-1/4" long, 7/8" at the widest point and angled at the bottom starting about 1-7/8" down from the top.  Then I just angled each side to a narrow point at the top.

I had some pieces of the corrugated left over so I just angled two small pieces for the sleeves.

All the pieces were adhered to my card base using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I stamped the little birthday cake in SU's Night of Navy ink on the tie and Dad on my card base.

I'm in LOVE with the enamel star shapes that come in the kit.  SU also came out with new heart, star and circle enamel shapes in the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog.  They have them in the new In-Colors, Metallic, Brights, Regals and Subtles colors.

I adhered one star enamel dot to the tie, one to the shirt and one above Dad.

From the stamp set included in the kit, I put the Happy, Birthday and the little heart stamps on my block, inked them up in Night of Navy Ink and stamped them on the inside of my card.

I adhered two of the smallest SU Basic Jewel Rhinestones on each collar piece to look like buttons.

Well, that's all I have for today.  Please come back tomorrow when I'll share another Stampin' Up Many Manly Occasions Alternate Card.
