My share for today is another Mystery Stamping Christmas Card with my Stampin' Up! Demographic Manager, Shannon West! Shannon invited us to join her live to re-make a Christmas Card with her. Shannon calls it the Mystery Stamping Card so there was a lot of anticipation, again, as to what the Card was going to be. We used products from Stampin' Up!'s 2022 Mini Holiday Catalog and/or Stampin' Up!'s May 2022-April 2023 Annual Catalog and more. Let's take a look:
Stampin' Up!'s Splendid Thoughts Bundle is a great versatile Stamp Set. You can just about use it for any Occasion. For Shannon's third Mystery Stamping Card, she turned it into a Christmas Card. I think this Card is my FAVE so far!!!
My Card Base is Soft Succulent Cardstock.
We trimmed out a panel of Soft Succulent Cardstock to measure 4" x 5-1/4".
Using the Rays of Light Large Background Stamp, we stamped the Panel in Soft Succulent Ink.
As soon as we were done stamping the Rays of Light, we scattered some Heat & Stick Powder onto the Panel (shake off excess powder) and Heat Embossed it with our Stampin' Up! Heat Tools.
While the Panel is still 'sticky', put your Gilded Leafing onto the Panel and press down with your fingers so it sticks.
When cooled, take a kind of hard bristled paint brush and remove the excess Gilded Leafing especially on the Rays of Light.
Adhere your Panel to the Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
We stamped the Detailed Leaf Image Stamp in Evening Evergreen Ink onto Soft Succulent Cardstock. We then stamped the Solid Leaf Image over the top of the Detailed Image with Soft Succulent Ink. (These two stamps do not line up and that's what we want). See the Center Leaf in the picture above.
We stamped the Detailed Round Leaf Image in Evening Evergreen Ink onto Evening Evergreen Cardstock. We then stamped the Solid Leaf Image over the top. (Same as above.)
We die cut out both stamped images with the corresponding Splendid Stems Dies. We also die cut out one Open Leaf Dies from Evening Evergreen Cardstock.
We adhered the Leaf Stems with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.
We die cut out the Dotted Half Circle from Real Red Cardstock.
Using the Trimming the Tree Stamp Set, we stamped Peace & Joy onto the Half Circle in VersaMark Ink, sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder over it and heat set it with our Heat Tools.
We put lots of Stampin' Dimensionals onto the back of the Half Circle.
We wrapped a long length of the 3/8" Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon around our fingers three times.
We laid the Ribbon down onto the Card Panel where we wanted it to be and stuck the Half Circle over the top of the Ribbon. We fussed with our Ribbon until we had it the way we wanted it by pulling the Ribbon folds apart. I could fuss with my Bow forever. 😊😊😊
This Card was sure fun to re-create and turn it into a Christmas Card. Thanks Shannon!!! You are so appreciated!!!
