Stampin' Up Fresh Fruit, Fruit Stand, Layering Love, Layering Ovals

Well, we are into the 90's again today and the thunder storms are to start up again!  Oh, Boy!!!  I should lose some weight today as I always pace throughout the house when the storms move in.  They freak me out!

My share for today is a card I designed using Stampin' Up's new Fresh Fruit and Layering Love Stamp Sets and Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper.

Let's take a look:

I LOVE this Designer Series Paper!!!  It already looks water colored and I didn't have to lift my Aqua Painter Brush!  =)  All the work is done for you!

My card base is SU's Always Artichoke Cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored and folded at 4-1/4".

The strawberry piece of DSP was cut at 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" and the striped DSP was cut at 1-1/2" x 5-1/4".  Both were adhered to my card base using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

Using SU's new Layering Love Stamp Set, I stamped my sentiment in SU's Basic Black Archival Ink. I then die cut it out using SU's new Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.

Using my SU 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch, I punched two small holes at the top center of the scalloped circle.  I pulled a long thread from SU's new 5/8" Burlap Ribbon, thread it through the two holes and tied it into a bow.  I like this technique as it keeps the bow looking better and secured better than using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I adhered the scalloped oval to my card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered one of SU's new Real Red Circle Enamel Shapes to the center of the bow and a Real Red Heart Enamel Shape to the bottom of the scalloped circle.

For the inside of my card, I stamped another of the sentiments from SU's new Layering Love Stamp Set onto Whisper White Cardstock and die cut it out with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.

I die cut a larger oval from Real Red Cardstock and adhered the white scalloped oval to the center of it and then to the inside of my card using Mono-Multi Purpose Glue.

I stamped two strawberries in Real Red Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock, fussy cut them out and colored around the edges with SU's Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.

I stamped two strawberry caps in Always Artichoke Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock, fussy cut those out also and colored around the edges with SU's Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker.

I colored in the seeds on the strawberries using SU's Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker.

I adhered the caps to the strawberries and to the inside of my card using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

Above is a picture of my embellished jar of homemade strawberry jam that I posted on my blog yesterday!  My card that I shared today and this jar of jam was mailed out to my Good Friend and Fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Kadie.  Enjoy Kadie!

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!

If you are interested in purchasing Stampin' Up products, you can order from me on-line at www.stampinup.com and please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator.
