A gorgeous day out today! Mostly sunny, less humidity and a chance for a stray shower. The 'less humidity' did it for me!
Now, is that a title or what...I sure put a lot into this card. Actually, once I got going; I just couldn't stop!!!
And, I was going to put this card on my blog on Friday; but, I shied away from it as it is so busy. I was a little bummed at my decision so I didn't post at all on Friday. Over the weekend, I re-thought about it and decided to post it on my blog today anyways. Who knows! Maybe someone will get a good laugh out of it or maybe some will hate it or maybe some will actually like it.
I would enjoy seeing your comments and everyone's thoughts; good or bad!!!
So, here goes:
My original thought when I started making this card was a Bear going to a Luau! The Bear just cracks me up; but, a very busy card indeed!!! And, I could have added more! I just couldn't stop adding things to my card. What the heck! I'm not sure what got into me; but, I did have a ton of fun making the scene for this card. Too, too funny!
I would LOVE to explain everything I did to make this card; but, it might take me all week! I'll just put a list of all the Stampin' Up products that I used at the bottom of my post.
I've never been to Hawaii before; but, I think I captured the flowers and vines that I imagine to be there! I even used the Mountain Die from SU's Outdoor Adventure Framelits Dies as I was thinking they would make and look like volcano's. But; with all the embellishing I did, you can hardly see them!!! =) Sometimes, my imagination just runs too wild!!!
I just LOVE this Bear with his Pineapple Drink and Green Tinted Sunglasses! Too funny, in my mind anyways!
The Pineapple is from SU's Pop of Paradise Stamp Set. I fussy cut it out using my SU Paper Snips.
I stamped the Sun using SU's Over the Rainbow Stamp Set in So Saffron Ink and fussy cut it out.
The blue background is a piece of SU's Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack.
The Flowers in the Bear's Hat and Lei are from SU's Botanical Builders Framelits Dies. I trimmed them to a smaller size with my SU Paper Snips so they would fit around the Bear's neck and hat.
The Ferns, Leaves and Flowers are from SU's Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and the long Vine is from SU's Fabulous Flora Stamp Set which I stamped and then fussy cut it out.
And, I actually wouldn't change a thing!
Here's a list of the Stampin' Up products that I used: (Beware, it's lengthy). =)

What a DARLING little card. THANKS for sharing my friend.
ReplyDeleteReally, really cute, Lynn! What a lot of creativity and work you put into this card, but man, it's adorable. It's definitely not too busy, it's just a party on a card!
