Stampin' Up! You Are My Anchor April 2018 Paper Pumpkin

It is absolutely a gorgeous day outside.  The sun is full on and it's supposed to be in the 70's.  Yippy Skippee!!!

My share for today is Stampin' Up's You Are My Anchor April 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Let's take a look:

I've been waiting for Stampin' Up! to come out with another Nautical themed Paper Pumpkin Kit.  And, yes, they really WOWed me!

The Box that holds five 3" x 3" Cards is a real WOW factor for me!  The cover slides off to reveal the Cards inside.

Pictured above are the five Cards...

And...the Envelopes that go with the Cards.

Stampin' Up! You Are My Anchor Paper Pumpkin Kit includes:
You Are My Anchor Photopolymer Stamp Set
 Island Indigo Stampin' Ink Spot

 20 Card Bases
 20 Printed Envelopes

 6 Die Cut Element Sheets
 4 Printed Box Bases
 4 Printed Box Lids

 7 Yards Rope Twine

 100 Adhesive Dots
 100 Mini Dimensionals

My Paper Pumpkin blog post is late as I didn't get mine until the second shipping so I'm sure you all have put your kits together already.

Tip:  I only put Stampin' Dimensionals on the Banner with the stamped Sentiment for the Life Saver Ring Card in the box on the left.
I put Stampin' Dimensionals on all the Banners with the Stamped Sentiment in the Box on the right.  With that many Stampin' Dimensionals, it made the Box bulge a little bit.
As you can see in the pictures, the top of the Box on the left is flat and the top on the Box on the right is bulged out some.  They both look fine and no one would really notice if I didn't say anything.

Another Tip:  When combining the Wave, Boat and For You Stamps all together on your Block:  My first attempt at stamping the 3 stamps onto the Round Tag, my Boat looked like it was in the air and not sitting on the Waves.
So, I trimmed some of the Photopolymer off the bottom of the Boat Stamp and some off the top of the Wave Stamp.  After trimming the two stamps, my next attempt at stamping the 3 stamps together onto the Round Tag was perfect!

I LOVE to work with and create Nautical scenes and Stampin' Up! knocked this one out of the Park!

In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colors, Stampin' Up! decided it was time to give their color collections a makeover.

With this revamp, you’ll not only have new products, but also have a new variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more sides of your crafting.

There are still four color collections, each with ten colors. There is also a new color group called Basics.
.
In order to keep their color collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, they moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection and also moved a few colors into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colorful!

Some additional colors have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  These changes were based on needing to maintain color balance in our updated collections.

In addition to new colors, they also redesigned their ink pads. The case is a new, more intuitive design and they’ve improved the formula of the ink, as well! We think you will love these changes.

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I was able to order the new In-Color Ink Pads and I just LOVE the new design.  Stampin' Up! never ceases to amaze me!

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!

Coffee Break, Coffee Cafe, More Than Chocolate, Coffee Cups - VIIII

It's cloudy and trying to rain.  It's more like a spritzing!  Our high temperature is supposed to be in the lower 60's.

My share for today is 2 more Cards that go along with my Hot Chocolate Matchbook Holders that I shared with you yesterday.  Let's take a look:

Pictured above is the first Card that I made to go along with my Hot Chocolate Matchbook Holders.

My Card Base is Pear Pizzazz Cardstock cut at 5" x 7" and scored and folded at 3-1/2" for a side folding 3-1/2" x 5" Card.

My Card Front Panel is a 3" x 4-1/2" cut from Stampin' Up's Coffee Break Designer Series Paper.  I used my SU trimmer, cut the Panel from corner to corner and I adhered it to the top of my Card Base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using SU's Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, I die cut the 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Scalloped Oval from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and the 2-3/8" x 3-1/4" Oval from Soft Suede Cardstock.

I adhered the Soft Suede Oval to the Pear Pizzazz Oval with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and then adhered it to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using SU's Coffee Cafe Stamp Set, I stamped my Whipped Cream in Soft Suede Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and my Sentiment onto Crumb Cake Cardstock.

Using SU's coordinating Coffee Cups Framelits Dies, I die cut out the Cup from Coffee Break DSP, the Sentiment with the Coffee Wrap die and the Whipped Cream with the Whipped Cream Die.

Using my SU Soft Suede Stampin Write Marker, I colored around the edges of my Whipped Cream die cut and adhered it to the back of the Cup with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered the Coffee Wrap to the Cup and to my Oval with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I fussy cut out the Leaves and Cocoa Berries from SU's Coffee Break DSP and adhered them to the Cup with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

Using SU's More Than Chocolate Stamp Set, I stamped the Heart in Soft Sky Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and die cut it out with SU's coordinating Sweet & Sassy Heart Framelits Dies.

I stamped my Sentiment in the Heart with Soft Sky Ink and adhered the Heart to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I fussy cut out the Leaves and Cocoa Berries from SU's Coffee Break DSP and adhered them to the Heart with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.

For my Second Card, I did the same except:

I used Soft Sky Cardstock for my Card Base.

I adhered my Soft Sky Coffee Break Card Front Panels with Mono Multi Purpose Glue instead of Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered my Soft Suede Oval to the Soft Sky Scalloped Oval and to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the inside of my Second Card:

Using SU's Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, I die cut out a 1-3/4" x 2-5/8" Scalloped Oval from Soft Suede Cardstock and a 1-1/2" x 2-3/8" Scalloped Oval from Coffee Break DSP.

I adhered the 2 Ovals together and to the inside of my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's More Than Chocolate Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Soft Suede Ink onto Soft Sky Cardstock and die cut it out with the Small Oval Die from SU's Coffee Cup Framelits Dies.

I adhered the Small Oval to the Larger Ovals with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Well, I could go on and on with these projects as they are so fun to create the Matchbooks and Cards to go with them.

Wishing you all a warm and sunny day!!!

Blessings!

Lynn
