Stampin' Up! Layered Leaves September 2017 Paper Pumpkin, Gourd Goodness, Sheltering Tree - Alternate Project - V

It's kind of an odd day outside today. Clouds will move in, it sprinkles and then the sun comes out and then clouds, sprinkles, sun and on and on. It's hard to decide what to wear or how to plan your day. Our temps. will be close to 70 degrees with 80's returning next week. Our leaves are falling off the trees before the precious color even happens! Crazy Fall weather!

My share for today is another alternate project, four more 3" x 3" Cards, that I designed using Stampin' Up's September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit and some items from my personal stash. I know you are probably getting tired of Leaves as I've shared the Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin kit on my blog all week; but, I'm just having a blast with this kit and I could design tons more with it! =)

I hope you can come back on Monday too when I'll share with you a very unique holder that I made for these Cards.

Let's take a look at my Alternate 3" x 3" Cards:

I used the Pre-Dry Embossed Soft Suede 3" x 3" Card Bases from the Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin kit for my Card Bases.

Using SU's new Gourd Goodness Stamp Set in the Holiday Catalog, I stamped my Sentiment for this Card in Cajun Craze Ink.

Using the Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set, I stamped 4 Large Leaves onto Whisper White Cardstock with Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Blushing Bride and Crushed Curry Inks. I fussy cut out the Leaves.

I also stamped 4 Small Leaves onto Whisper White Cardstock with Old Olive Ink (for the inside of my cards). I fussy cut out the Leaves.

Using SU's Sheltering Tree Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog, I stamped my Sentiment for this Card in Pumpkin Pie Ink.

I fussy cut out 4 (2 Soft Suede, 2 Old Olive) of the negative Fern Leaf images from the leftover Leaf Die Cut Sheets after the die cuts were removed.

I fussy cut out 4 (2 Crushed Curry, 2 Old Olive) of the negative 3 Leaf Stem images from the leftover Leaf Die Cut Sheets after the die cuts were removed.

Using SU's Sheltering Tree Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog, I stamped my Sentiment for this Card in Blushing Bride Ink.

For my "Leaf Piles":
I adhered the Large Leaf to my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I adhered the negative Fern Leaf stem to the stem of the Large Leaf with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I adhered the negative 3 Leaf stem to the stem of the previous Leaf with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
I adhered one of SU's new Touches of Nature Wood Elements Leaf Stems to the previous Leaf stem with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's Sheltering Tree Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog, I stamped my Sentiment for this Card in Crushed Curry Ink. Love the Font SU used for this Stamp Set!

I adhered one of the Old Olive Small Leaves next to the Sentiments on the inside of each Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I tied a Bow using the Copper/White Baker's Twine from the kit and adhered it to the Leaf stems with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I randomly adhered 3 Copper Sequins from SU's Metallic Sequin Assortment with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

And, I stamped each of the Pre-Watercolored Envelopes from the kit with the same inks as the Large Leaves on the Cards.

I'm really getting my 'Bang for my Buck' with the Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Stampin' Up! Layered Leaves September 2017 Paper Pumpkin, Seasonal Layers - Alternate Project - IV

It's partly to mostly sunny out today with our high temperature only reaching in the upper 60's. Probably time to pack away the Summer clothes and the fishing equipment. 😢

My share for today is an alternate project, a Fall Leaf Banner, that I designed using Stampin' Up's September 2017 Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit and some items from my personal stash.

Let's take a look at my Banner:

It's really hard to capture a picture of a long banner and to be able to see it properly. So, I've taken some close up pictures for you too!

I started out be cutting a length of SU's 5/8" Burlap Ribbon. I trimmed it down to 4 threads lengthwise so that it wasn't too wide.

I fussy cut out 6 of the negative Large Leaf images from the leftover Leaf Die Cut Sheets after the die cuts were removed.

Using the Layered Leaves Stamp Set, I stamped the Large Leaf Stamp onto Whisper White Cardstock in each of the kits coordinating colors; Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I fussy cut out each Leaf.

I stamped the Small Leaf Stamp onto Whisper White Cardstock in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Old Olive and Cajun Craze. I fussy cut out each Leaf.

I fussy cut out 6 (3 Soft Suede, 3 Old Olive) of the negative Fern Leaf images from the leftover Leaf Die Cut Sheets after the die cuts were removed.

I fussy cut out 6 (4 Crushed Curry, 2 Old Olive) of the negative 3 Leaf Stem images from the leftover Leaf Die Cut Sheets after the die cuts were removed.

Using SU's Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, I die cut out 6 of the Detailed Image Leaf Die and 5 of the Solid Image Leaf Die from SU's Gold Foil Sheets.

Pictured above is what my Leaf Piles 😊😊😊 look like when all assembled.

For my Large Leaf Piles:
I adhered the Large Stamped Whisper White Leaf Stem to the Stem on the negative Large Leaf with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered a negative Soft Suede or Old Olive Fern Leaf next.

I adhered a negative Crushed Curry or Old Olive 3 Leaf Stem next.

Lastly, I adhered the Gold Foil Detailed Image that I die cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinits Dies.

I cut a 6 lengths of SU's 1/4" Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon, wrapped it around all the Leaf Stems on each Leaf Pile and tied them into Bows.

Using the Crushed Curry Mini Clothespins from the kit, I clipped each Leaf Pile evenly spaced across the Burlap Ribbon.

For the Small Leaf Piles:
I adhered the Small Stamped Leaf Stem to the stem on the Gold Foil Solid Leaf Die Cut with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I cut 5 lengths of Calypso Coral 1/4" Ombre Ribbon, thread on one of SU's new Year of Cheer Metal Embellishments to each ribbon.

I tied my Ribbon lengths into a knot around each Small Leaf Pile.

Using the Crushed Curry Mini Clothespins from the kit, I clipped each Leaf Pile evenly spaced in-between each Large Leaf Pile across the Burlap Ribbon.

I love Fall with all the colorful leaves on the trees and the cooler temperatures.

I haven't made a Banner in quite a while and that was a fun project to design and make from SU's Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit.
