Well, the weather man was right! It's supposed to be almost 60 degree's out today and the 8" of snow that we got is almost gone already. Our little two tracker dirt road is a muddy, rut filled mess. We are to expect another storm tonight with lots of rain, sleet and some more snow. Oh, yay! I'm going to need a boat to get out!!!
On my blog last week, I started
sharing a Stampin' Up Botanicals for You Card Class that Stampin' Up so
generously shared with us Demonstrators to use for teaching classes.
It has instructions to make 4 cards and a card box holder using SU's
Botanicals for You Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set, Botanical Blooms Stamp Set,
Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, Botanical Gardens Designer
Vellum Stack and Botanical Builder Framelits Die's. I am also going to
share some envelopes, gift tags and a gift tag box holder that I
designed which revolves around the design of SU's class.
So, stay tuned to
my blog the rest of this week to take advantage of all
the cards, tags, box holders, pictures and instructions.
You've
seen the cards and the card box holder now so it's on to the tags that I
designed which revolve around the design of SU's class.
Let's get
started with the third tag:
I made my tags 3" x 4" and angled the top corners.
And, Yay!!! I
used my Washi Tape now that it is all organized and I can see it out in
the open. (See my Washi Tape Organization blog post here ) - http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2016/02/stampin-up-washi-tape-organization.html
. I used the White with the small Cajun Craze flowers piece of
SU's Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape and wrapped it around the
bottom edge of my tag.
I used one of
SU's Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, the white with the multi-colored floral pattern and cut it at 3" x 3 3/8", adhered it to my
tag using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and trimmed off the excess paper
hanging over the edges on the angles of my tag.
I cut a piece of SU's Cajun Craze Cardstock 1 1/4" x 3" and adhered it to my tag just above the Washi Tape.
I cut a piece of
the multi-tiny patterns from SU's Botanical Gardens Designer
Vellum Stack
at 1" x 3". I used my SU Emboss Buddy and wiped down the vellum to remove any static and stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark Ink using the Happy Birthday stamp in SU's new monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit for February
called Hello Sunshine. I sprinkled SU's White Embossing Powder over the VersaMark Ink, tapped off the excess powder 'and heat set it with my SU Heat Tool. I then adhered the vellum centered over the Cajun Craze Cardstock using Mono-Multi Purpose Glue behind the letters
of the sentiment only. (You don't want to see glue showing through your
vellum).
I placed one of
SU's Basic Jewel Rhinestones in the corner of the vellum and then added a
tiny spot of glue behind the vellum under the rhinestone to make it a
little more secure.
I die-cut one
Small and one Medium Flower from SU's Botanical Builder Framelits Die's
with Mint Macaron Cardstock and one Spoke Flower Center from SU's Basic
Black Cardstock. I adhered all 3 together using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I also die-cut one of the tiny flowers from Hello Honey Cardstock.
I used my Petal
Roller Tool to cup and curl the Flower Petals and adhered
them to my tag using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I adhered one of SU's Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the center of my flowers.
(I'm using yesterday's blog post picture above as I didn't take a picture of each individual tag to show the hanger portion).
I die-cut a small
Flower from SU's Cajun Craze Cardstock, rolled and cupped the petals
and adhered it centered to the top of my tag using Mono Multi-Purpose
Glue.
I punched a hole for my hanger at the top of my tag and through the center of the Flower using my SU 1/8" Handheld Punch.
I took a short
piece of SU's Linen Thread and tied it into a loop. I took a very long
double piece of the Linen Thread, threaded it through the short piece of
Linen Thread and through the hole in the tag and tied it off into a
double bow.
I just LOVE how
my tags turned out and coincide with SU's Botanicals for You and
Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack Card Class by Stampin' Up. The
vellum is so pretty with the Cajun Craze Cardstock showing through.
Thanks for
visiting. Come back tomorrow where I'll share the next tag that I designed using SU's Botanical Gardens Suite.
Have a great day!

Botanicals for You and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack Card Class by Stampin' Up - Tags VII
Well, I'm glad my Hubby returned home from a trip yesterday as now we are all plowed out from all that snow we got Wednesday through part of yesterday. I do have to admit that it is so pretty out today with the sun shining full on and making the snow glisten. It's supposed to get into the mid to high 40's for the weekend so we will probably have a big melt down.
On my blog last week, I started sharing a Stampin' Up Botanicals for You Card Class that Stampin' Up so generously shared with us Demonstrators to use for teaching classes. I used one of SU's Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper with the Hello Honey plaid pattern and cut it at 3" x 3 3/8", adhered it to my tag using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and trimmed off the excess paper hanging over the edges on the angles of my tag.
I cut a piece of SU's Old Olive Cardstock 1 1/4" x 3" and adhered it to my tag just above the Washi Tape.
I cut a piece of the tiny multi-flower pattern from SU's Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack at 1" x 3". I stamped the sentiment in Black StazOn Ink using the thank you stamp in SU's new monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit for February called Hello Sunshine. I then die-cut the Small Leaf from SU's Mint Macaron Cardstock and stamped it twice; once using the Dotted Vein stamp and once using the longer Vein stamp in SU's Mint Macaron Ink.
I used my Petal Roller Tool to cup and curl the Leaf and the Flower Petals and adhered them to my tag using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I adhered one of SU's Basic Jewel Rhinestones to the center of my flower.

We are having one awful snow storm.

Botanicals for You and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack Card Class by Stampin' Up - Card Box Holder V
So, stay tuned to my blog the rest of this week and next week to take advantage of all the cards, tags, box holders, pictures and instructions.
Let's get started:
Pictured above are the 4 cards that I made using SU's Botanicals for You and Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack Card Class. I made a couple minor changes along the way.
Above is a picture of the A2 Card Box Holder that I made using SU's Envelope Board Punch. I did change up the measurements from SU's Class instructions as I could not get my cards to fit in the card box holder that SU designed. I did call them and let them know; but, I haven't heard back from them yet.
I love how my belly band and tag turned out. The whole project is just amazing with bright colors and gorgeous flowers. Love, love and love the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper.
I followed the instructions on my Envelope Punch Board to make an A2 Card Box:
9" x 9" Cardstock - I used SU's Cajun Craze
Line up your left side of your cardstock at 3-1/2", punch & score
Shift your cardstock left and line up the left side at 4-1/2", punch & score
Rotate your cardstock and line up all scores lines using the pointed guide on your
Envelope Punch Board, punch & score all the way around
Snip notches out on each side of flaps (See picture above)
Use Reverse Punch on Envelope Punch Board to round your top flap corner
Use SU's Tear & Tape to assemble your box
I used velcro dots for the closure on my A2 Card Box Holder. Remove the backing from the soft side of your velcro dot and adhere on the top rounded corner flap as shown in the picture above. Remove the backing from the rough side of your velcro dot and attach it to the other velcro dot glue side out. Now close the flap while aligning it to the center of your box and press so the velcro dot sticks to the box for your closure. This is a more accurate way of getting the closure lined up straight on your box.
Ahhhhhh...the belly band! My FAVE part and I love to embellish them. It sure classes up a box like nothing else!
I cut a piece of SU's Mint Macaron Cardstock 3" x 11-1/2" and a piece of SU's Botanical Gardens DSP (Basic Black with Multi-Color tiny flowers) 2" x 11-1/2". I adhered them together using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue. I centered the piece over the card box holder and gently pressed the cardstock around the edges of the box and adhered it together in the back using SU's Tear & Tape.
Double Ahhhhhh...the tag! What a way to pretty up the belly band even more!
My SU Whisper White Cardstock was cut at 2" x 3-1/2" and punched with SU's Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
I stamped the sentiment from SU's Botanicals For You Stamp Set on the bottom of my tag using SU's Cajun Craze Ink
I stamped the tiny multi-flowers in SU's Hello Honey Ink 3-4 times on the center of the tag using SU's Botanical Blooms Stamp Set. I used the tiny single flower in the set and stamped it in SU's Cajun Craze Ink as shown in the picture above.
Triple Ahhhhhh...the flowers! And that gorgeous Botanical Gardens Jewel...surely adds the class to this belly band.
I die-cut the small leaf from SU's Botanical Builders Framelits Dies with SU's Mint Macaron Cardstock. I stamped it twice; once using the small leaf with dots and veins and once with the longer leaf with veins, using Mint Macaron Ink.
I die-cut the medium flower from SU's Hello Honey Cardstock.
Using my Petal Roller Tool, I added texture by rolling and cupping the leaf and the flower petals. I then adhered them to my tag using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I adhered one of SU's Botanical Gardens Jewels to the center of the Hello Honey flower using Mono-Multi Purpose Glue.
I took a long double strand of SU's Linen Thread, wrapped it around the belly band, through the tag and tied it into a double bow.
Phew, what an awesome card box holder, belly band and cards. Enjoy! I hope you get the chance to create with SU's Botanical Gardens Suite. It's just so elegant and pretty!

Thanks for visiting. Come back tomorrow where I start sharing the tags and tag box holder that I designed using SU's Botanical Gardens Suite.
I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, Please be considerate of others creativity! Thank you!
