Happy Friday everyone! Yay!
Today, I'll be
sharing with you my fifth blog post using Stampin' Up's Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin
Kit. I'm just having a blast with this kit!!!
But first, don't forget about the Blog Candy I'm offering. It seems
that some people are having trouble leaving me a comment on my January 19th's
blog post to win the Blog Candy! See my blog post here http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2016/01/stampin-up-have-cuppa-nice-cuppa-sticky.html
So, if you would
like to drop me an e-mail with your comment and type Blog Candy in
the subject line, I will add your name to be eligible for the Blog
Candy. Here's my e-mail address:
dodge3670@aol.com.
And, my apologizes!
On to my Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit Heart Pockets:
I made up 4 of the heart pockets as per the instructions in the kit; but, I went way out-of-the-box to embellish them.
Using a lot of SU's die's (Retired and New), I die-cut a whole bunch of different hearts and adhered them on to the heart pockets mainly with Mono Multi-Purpose glue and a few with Stampin' Dimensionals and SU's Fine Tip Glue Bottle.
I also stamped my hearts as per the instructions in the kit; but, I stamped and made my own banners to clip on the heart pockets. SU's Trio Banner Punch sure came in handy to make all of those banners.
I also pulled off some of the sequins from the bolt that comes in the kit and adhered them randomly using SU's Fine Tip Glue Bottle.
I used SU's Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, Botanical Gardens DSP and DSP Designer Pack for some of my hearts and banners. And, of course, I used some of the banners in the kit.
I also used SU's Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette and Watermelon Wonder Card Stock for some of my hearts and banners.
Some of SU's die's that I used are: Hearts Collection Framelits, Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and Hearts a Flutter Framelits.
And, I also used SU's Confetti Heart Punch for some of the tiny hearts.
I made up some little baggies full of heart conversations candy, tied them off with the Two-Tone Mint Macaron/Whisper White Bakers Twine that comes in the kit and tucked them into each heart pocket. I forgot to take a picture of all the little baggies full of candy! Oopsy!
Not sure which one I like the best!!!
Thanks
for stopping by my blog today! Hope you come back on Monday. Have a great weekend.
I
recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects,
duplicating them and entering them into challenges. My cards and

Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Card IV
Today, I'll be
sharing with you my fourth Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin
Kit alternate card. I'm just having a blast with this kit!!!
Don't forget about the Blog Candy I'm offering. It seems that some people are having trouble leaving me a comment on my January 19th's blog post to win the Blog Candy! See my blog post here http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2016/01/stampin-up-have-cuppa-nice-cuppa-sticky.html

And, my apologizes!
On to my fourth alternate Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin alternate card:
When there are hearts, there are Weddings! So, of course, I had to create a wedding card!
For my card base, I used SU's Smoky Slate Card Stock.
I took one striped Smoky Slate/Whisper White and one Blushing Bride/Whisper White heart from the Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit and die-cut them with SU's Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (Retired) using the second and fourth die from the center.
In the picture above, I took some invisible thread and adhered it down the center opening of the Blushing Bride striped heart using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and a Stampin' Dimensional to hold each end tight. I stamped LOVE from SU's Groovy Love Stamp Set (in the annual catalog) and punched it out with SU's 3/4" Circle Punch. I adhered the circle to the center of the invisible string using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
Also in the picture above, I cut the Smoky Slate striped heart underneath where the Blushing Bride heart crosses over the Smoky Slate heart so they would intersect and you would not see the cut.
I adhered both hearts to my card base using Stampin' Dimensionals with the Smoky Slate heart about 3/4" higher than the Blushing Bride heart. This was harder than it looks as the Stampin' Dimensionals wanted to stick everywhere; but, I finally managed to get it right.
I had a leftover piece of SU Old Olive Card Stock that I had die-cut using SU's new Botanical Builders Framelits Dies so I adhered it to the bottom of the card base and trimmed off the ends even with the card base. Love it when I can use something from my scrap tray!
Using SU's 2" Scalloped Circle Punch, I punched a scalloped circle out of SU's Blushing Bride Card Stock and adhered it to the bottom left corner of my card using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
Using SU's 1 3/4" Scalloped Circle Punch, I punched a scalloped circle out of SU's Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped the sentiment from SU's new Happy Happening's Stamp Set (a new FAVE of mine) in VersaMark and then embossed it using SU's Smoky Slate Embossing Powder and my heat tool. I adhered the embossed scalloped circle to the Blushing Bride scalloped circle using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I tied a double bow with SU's Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate Baker's Twine and adhered it to the top of the Smoky Slate heart.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Please come back tomorrow and I'll share a project I made using the Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit alternate card.

Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Card III
Today, I'll be
sharing with you my third Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin
Kit alternate card. Again, I'm going in reverse. I did make it into town and bought some Valentine's candy so, hopefully, I can share my heart pocket creations with you on Friday.
Don't forget about the Blog Candy I'm offering. It seems that some people are having trouble leaving me a comment on my January 19th's blog post to win the Blog Candy! See my blog post here http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2016/01/stampin-up-have-cuppa-nice-cuppa-sticky.html

And, my apologizes to those who could not leave a comment!
On to my third alternate card:
I'm really happy with the way my card turned out. I'm really addicted to SU's Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit. So many idea's.
For my card base, I used SU's Basic Black Card Stock.
I wanted my heart to resemble a beating heart! So, I die cut one of the Mint Macaron and one of the Watermelon Wonder hearts from the kit with every other die (except the scalloped heart die) from SU's Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (Retired).
I adhered the largest die-cut heart with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and then the next largest heart with Stampin' Dimensionals. I repeated this process until all the hearts were adhered. The last and smallest heart I stamped using SU's Watermelon Wonder Ink and the little heart from the Cute Conversations Stamp Set that is included in the kit. The stamp set has some Valentine's sentiments, arrows and some hearts.
In the picture above, you can see how one heart is adhered with glue and the next is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals and so on.
I chose a scrap piece of SU's Botanicals Gardens Designer Series Paper and used SU's Triple Banner Punch to flag the end. I had a scrap piece of SU's Watermelon Wonder Card Stock that I had cut a Mini Treat Bag out of (hence the zig zagged end) and stamped the sentiment from SU's Groovy Love Stamp Set (in the annual catalog) using SU's Black Archival Ink. Then I stamped the little heart from the Cute Conversations Stamp Set in the kit using SU's Watermelon Wonder Ink. I adhered the two banners together on the left end using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere them to the card.
I cut about 2" of the Watermelon Wonder Sequin Trim included in the kit and pulled off 4 sequins and adhered them randomly on the card using SU's Fine Tip Glue Bottle.
I adhered the rest of the sequin trim to the corner of the banners using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
Using the Two-Tone Mint Macaron/Whisper White Thick Baker's Twine included in the kit, I tied a small bow and adhered it on top of the sequin trim using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Please come back tomorrow and I'll be sharing another Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit alternate card.

Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Card II
Today, I'll be sharing with you my second Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit alternate card. Again, I'm going in reverse. I will be going to town tonight to get some Valentine's candy so I can make up some of the heart pockets and fill them with candy per the instructions in the kit.
Don't forget about the Blog Candy I'm offering. It seems that some people are having trouble leaving me a comment on my January 19th's blog post to win the Blog Candy! See my blog post here http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2016/01/stampin-up-have-cuppa-nice-cuppa-sticky.html

And, my apologizes!
On to my second alternate card:
The colors of the hearts and banners in the Stampin' Up Cute Conversations Paper Pumpkin Kit match perfectly with SU's new Birthday Bouquet Designers Series Paper.
So, for my card base, I chose SU's Mint Macaron Card Stock and then a piece of the SU's Birthday Bouquet DSP for my front panel.
I die-cut a piece of SU's Everyday Chic DSP (in the annual catalog) using the second largest heart die from SU's Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (Retired) and adhered it with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue to the center on the front panel.
Using the 3rd largest die, I die-cut a Mint Macaron and a Watermelon Wonder heart from the kit and adhered them side-by-side with Stampin' Dimensionals over the larger heart. (I did not put a dimensional behind the top right lobe of the heart on the right so I had room to put the clothespin with the banner.)
The sentiment was stamped with SU's Black Archival Ink using SU's Perfect Pennants Stamp Set (in the annual catalog).
I punched a tiny heart from SU's Mint Macaron Card Stock using SU's Confetti Hearts Border Punch and adhered it just above the curve in the & using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
The Cute Conversations Stamp Set that comes in the kit has Valentine's Day sentiments, arrows and some hearts. LOVIN' this stamp set.
Using one of the Mint Macaron Banners from the kit, I stamped the arrows in SU Black Archival Ink and the little heart with SU's Mint Macaron Ink. I trimmed a little off the top of the banner and angled the bottom. Using SU's Triple Banner Punch, I flagged the bottom of a piece of DSP from SU's new Botanical Gardens. I adhered the two banners together at the top using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I tied a small bow using the Two-Tone Mint Macaron/Whisper White Thick Baker's Twine that comes in the kit and adhered it to one of SU's Mini Metallic Clothespins.
I'm also LOVIN' the Watermelon Wonder Sequin Trim that also comes in the kit. I cut about 3" of the trim and attached the trim and banners to the heart with the mini clothespin. I then stuck a half of a Stampin' Dimensional under the right lobe of the heart where I omitted it earlier so I had room to clip the clothespin.
I also pulled 3 of the sequins from the trim and adhered the randomly to the card using SU's Fine Tip Glue Bottle.
