It's cooled off again today. The high is only supposed to be 67. It's sunny though with breezy winds which makes it feel even cooler. There are actually frost warnings issued for us and North of us for tonight. Ewwwwww...I'm not looking forward to the colder weather as it raises such havoc on my arthritis.
My share for today is an Alternate card that I designed using some elements from the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit and some of Stampin' Up's new Holiday products. Let's take a look:
For the last 3 days, I've posted on my blog the Cards and my embellished Acetate Card Boxes that I made using Stampin' Up's new Watercolor Christmas Project Kit. Today. I'm sharing an Alternate Card.
My Card Base is the Pool Party Watercolored Card Base from the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit.
Using the Garden Green Tree Pattern from SU's new Quilted Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, I trimmed out a 1-1/8" x 5-1/2" panel and adhered it about 3/4" above the bottom of my Card Base with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
Using the leftover Real Red Die Cut Sheet from the Kit (what is leftover after removing the rectangle and banner die cuts), I trimmed out a Frame that was around one of the rectangle die cuts.
I trimmed out a panel of Whisper White Cardstock to measure 2-5/8" x 3-3/8" and adhered my Real Red Frame to the Whisper White Panel with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
Using SU's new Christmas Quilt Stamp Set, I stamped the word Peace in Basic Black Archival Ink towards the top of my Whisper White Panel as shown in the picture above.
Using the Multi Color Tree Pattern Paper from SU's Quilted Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, I fussy cut out 4 Trees and adhered them to my Frame with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.
Using SU's Christmas Quilt Stamp Set, I stamped the Tree Base in Real Red Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock, die cut it out with SU's coordinating Quilt Builder Framelits Dies and adhered it to my Frame with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.
I adhered one of the Trees
from SU's new Stitched Felt Embellishments with Mono Multi Purpose Glue
as shown in the picture above. There are also Stars and Holly with
Holly Berries in the Stitched Felt Embellishments.
I pulled one thread from a length of SU's new Jute Twine, tied it into a Bow and adhered it to the top of my Stitched Felt Tree with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
Using SU's Christmas Quilt Stamp Set, I stamped my Stars in Daffodil Delight Ink onto my Card Base as shown in the picture above.
For the inside of my Card:
Using SU's new Christmas Happiness Stamp Set, I stamped the large Pine Bough in Garden Green Ink onto a piece of scrap Whisper White Cardstock (for use at a later date) and then stamped it again without re-inking on the inside of my Card.
I stamped my Sentiment from Christmas Quilt Stamp Set in Basic Black Archival Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and two Stars onto the Sentiment in Daffodil Delight Ink. I trimmed the Sentiment out to measure 1-3/8" x2-1/2".
I trimmed out a Real Red Cardstock panel to measure 1-5/8" x 2-3/4". I adhered my Sentiment panel onto the Real Red Panel and then over the Pine Bough with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.
That was a fun to make Card with some oh-so-fun new Stampin' Up Holiday products!!!
That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm off to go fishing!!! =)

Watercolor Christmas Project Kit, Merry Little Christmas, Tags & Trimmings, Trim Your Stocking, Acetate Card Box
It's another gorgeous, sunny day here in Michigan. I'm hoping to go fishing today!!!
My share for today is another of Stampin' Up's new Acetate Card Boxes that holds 4 of the Cards and Envelopes from SU's new Watercolor Christmas Project Kit that I made and shared on my blog on Monday. Let's take a look:
Since Stampin' Up's Watercolor Christmas Project Kit has 20 Cards, 5 each of 4 designs, I can make 5 Acetate Card Boxes with each Box containing 4 Cards and Envelopes from the Watercolor Christmas Kit. Each Acetate Card Box can hold 5 Cards and Envelopes easily; but, I figured I would go with 4 as the Envelopes have liners and there is some height to the Cards from the use of Stampin' Dimensionals. It worked out perfectly!
Here's a re-look at the 4 Cards I made from the Watercolor Christmas Project Kit:
I inserted the Card pictured above in the back of my Acetate Card Box so it shows when looking at the back of the Box.
I used various SU Enamel Dots and Wink of Stella from my own personal stash on my Cards.
I inserted the Card pictured above in the front of my Acetate Card Box.
Not only was it fun putting the Watercolor Christmas Kit together; but, it was also fun embellishing the Acetate Card Boxes.
I cut a length of SU's new Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim, wrapped it around the top of the Acetate Card Box, tied it into a Bow and trimmed the ends. The Mini Tinsel Trim comes in a Combo Pack of Real Red and Silver.
I trimmed out a piece of Real Red Cardstock that measured 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" and a piece of Whisper White Cardstock at 2" x 3". I adhered the two together with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above.
I used my Corner Rounder Punch to round the top two corners.
I trimmed off a 1/4" length from the Pool Party Watercolored Tree Card Base in the Kit and then cut it into two pieces that are 3-1/2" long. I adhered one to the bottom of my Tag with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and then I adhered a length of SU's new Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape in Gold as shown in the picture above. I repeated this step one more time.
Using SU's Merry Little Labels Stamp Set, I stamped my Sentiment in Basic Black Archival Ink onto my Tag.
Using SU's Tags & Trimmings Stamp Set, I stamped one Large Holly Leaf and two Small Holly Leaves in Emerald Envy Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock.
Using SU's coordinating Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies, I die cut out the Holly Leaves and adhered them to my Tag with Mono Multi Purpose Glue down the center of the Leaves only as shown in the picture above.
Here's the messy part in making the Tinsel Holly Berries! I cut 3 small lengths of the Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim. I put a little Mono Multi Purpose Glue on one end and rolled it into a ball and adhered the last end with more Mono Multi Purpose Glue. It takes a while for the glue to dry and hold the ball together. I put 3 dabs of Mono Multi Purpose Glue in-between each Holly Leaf on my Tag and let it sit so the glue would set up some. I then adhered the Tinsel Holly Berries. It was worth the effort!
Using my 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch, I punched a hole in the top of the Tag.
I cut a length of SU's Pool Party Solid Baker's Twine, threaded it through the hole in the Tag and under the Tinsel Bow, tied it into a knot and trimmed the ends. I slid the knot behind the center of the Tinsel Bow.
I cut one more length of Real Red Mini Tinsel Trim and made it into a ball as described above and adhered it to the center of my Tinsel Bow.
I adhered 3 Emerald Envy Heart Enamel Shapes to the bottom of my Tag as shown in the picture above.
I love how the end of the Real Red Banner and Gold Mini Trim on the first Card in the front of the Acetate Box shows at the bottom of my Tag.
That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm off to go fishing!!! =)
