Coffee Break, Coffee Cafe, Coffee Cups

Gosh, did we got the ice and sleet over the weekend and about an inch of snow.  I thought it would never stop.  My Brother-In-Law who lives in Alpena called Saturday and he got 14" of snow and it hasn't stopped snowing there as of yet.  YIKES!!!  Anyways, you can even hear the tree limbs clanking together with all the ice on them.  It is rapidly melting away though.

I am still having to deal with the Iritis in my right eye so it's been really hard to work on the computer.  The two different eye drops are helping to control the pain now; but, dilating the eye four times a day and a steroid twice a day is really getting to be a pain.  I even dug out my Mom's Solar Lens glasses from when she had her cataract surgery (they really look like goggles) and wear them over my glasses so that helps if I go outside or in to town shopping.  Otherwise, I've pulled all the blinds down in the house and, if necessary, keep the lights off or dimmed.  I don't go back to the eye Dr. until next Tuesday.  That sure seems like a long time to go yet!!!

My share for today is a couple Matchbook Gum Holder Projects.  I started these projects and cards last July before I went into the hospital and never got back to them until now.  Let's take a look:

These Matchbooks are so fun to make and to try to find items that fit inside them.

My Matchbook Base is Coffee Break Designer Series Paper cut to measure 2-1/2" x 8-7/8" and Scored and Folded at 3/4", 4-7/8" and 5-1/8".

I used my Stampin' Up Stapler (Retired) and stapled the folded up 3/4" section; once on the left and once on the right.  Be sure not to staple too far up or your gum and flap will not stay tucked in the 3/4" section.

There are 3 parts to my Gum Holder Project.  The Matchbook Base, the Matchbook Belly Band and a packet of Gum.  I found my Gum at our local coffee store.  There are 2 packets of Gum in the Box.

I fussy cut out the Coffee Pots and the Cups from SU's Coffee Break DSP and adhered them to the Gum packets with SU's Glue Dots.

I slid the Gum packet into my Matchbook and then made the Belly Band as follows:

I trimmed out a coordinating strip of Coffee Break DSP to measure 1/2" x 6-1/2" and Scored and Folded the Strip at 1-5/8", 2", 4-1/2" and 4-7/8".

I wrapped the Belly Band around the Matchbook with the Gum in it and adhered it together in the front with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's Coffee Cafe, I stamped my Sentiments in Garden Green Ink, the Coffee Stops in Soft Sky Ink and the Coffee Beans in Soft Suede Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and die cut them out with SU's coordinating Coffee Cups Framelits Dies.

I also die cut out the Coffee Cup Wrap from Crumb Cake, a Large Cup from Early Espresso, a Small Cup from Soft Suede Cardstocks and 2 Coffee Cup Lids from Coffee Break DSP.

I fussy cut out some of the Early Espresso Beans and adhered them to the bottom of the Matchbook with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.  I adhered the Soft Suede die cut Coffee Beans to the other Matchbook with a Stampin' Dimensional.

I adhered everything together with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the pictures above except for the Sentiments.  For the Matchbook pictured above, I adhered the sentiment with a Stampin' Dimensional.  For the Second one, I adhered my Sentiment to one of SU's Corrugated Elements with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and then to the Coffee Cup with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I then adhered the Coffee Cups to the Belly Band with Stampin' Dimensionals.

These are so fun and addicting to make and they make for some excellent gifts!!!

I hope I got everything posted correctly as it is so hard with a Boo Boo eye!

Wishing you all a warm and sunny day!!!

Blessings!

Lynn

COLOR-REVAMP_DEMO_HEADER_USCA

In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colors, Stampin' Up! decided it was time to give their color collections a makeover.

With this revamp, you’ll not only have new products, but also have a new variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more sides of your crafting.

There are still four color collections, each with ten colors. There is also a new color group called Basics.
.
In order to keep their color collections to exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors, they moved Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White out of the Neutrals collection and also moved a few colors into the Neutrals collection, making it more exciting and colorful!

Some additional colors have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  These changes were based on needing to maintain color balance in our updated collections.

In addition to new colors, they also redesigned their ink pads. The case is a new, more intuitive design and they’ve improved the formula of the ink, as well! We think you will love these changes.

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I was able to order the new In-Color Ink Pads and I just LOVE the new design.  Stampin' Up! never ceases to amaze me!

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
