Stampin' Up Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Project Bear Hugs My Hero IV

Today, I'll be sharing a Father's Day project that I designed using Stampin' Up's Many Manly Occasions May Paper Pumpkin Kit, Many Manly Occasions Stamp Set, Bear hugs Stamp Set and Framelits and the new My Hero Stamp Set and Best Badge Punch.  I used some SU cardstock scraps and the new 3/8" Ruched Ribbon from my personal stash on my card and project also.

Let's take a look at my project:

Using Stampin' Up's May Paper Pumpkin kit called Many Manly Occasions, I made the box from the lattice.  You can go to the following link to see how it was made  http://lynnslocker.blogspot.com/2016/06/stampin-up-sneak-peek-love-you-lots.html

My project made for an awesome Father's Day Gift.  It would have been the perfect gift for my Dad.  May he rest in peace.  He loved the outdoors and to fish.

I used SU's new 3/8" Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon and thread through the lattice and around the box.

I made the fishing rod from a thin strip of the corrugated that comes in the kit.  I used a large epoxy dot and colored it black for the fishing reel and some small pearls colored black for the eyes on the fishing rod.  Using some plastic thread, I adhered loops from eye to eye on the rod and some hanging off the end of the fishing rod.  It doesn't show up very well in the pictures though.

The badge is from Stampin' Up's new My Hero Stamp Set.  I stamped it on SU's Whisper White Cardstock using Dapper Denim Ink.

I adhered two of the Enamel Stars from the kit to the badge tag and adhered it to the top back of the box using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

Using Stampin' Up's 1-3/4" Circle Punch, I punched 6 circles and adhered them to the back and front of 3 Peppermint Patty's with glue dots.

I stamped the fish in SU Soft Suede Ink on Old Olive, Marina Mist and Crumb Cake Cardstocks using SU's Bear Hugs Stamp Set.

The fish were all die cut using SU's Bear Hugs Framelits Dies.

I adhered the fish to the circles using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I adhered two of the Enamel Stars that come in the kit to each circle, above and below the fish.

That's all I have for today.  I hope everyone has a great Father's Day weekend!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I am entering my project in the Paper Pumpkin Challenge at http://mypumpkinchallenge.blogspot.com/ when the challenge opens up in June.

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!

If you are interested in purchasing Stampin' Up products, you can order from me on-line at www.stampinup.com and please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator.
