Let's take a look at the first alternate Many Manly Occasions Paper Pumpkin card that I designed:
Ha! I made my own sailboat!!! I'm really proud of it too!!! Very, very happy with the way it turned out!!!
The stamp set that comes in the kit is just so neat. It has stamps for all the men in the family, some sentiments and some hearts, stars, a cake, a candle and an arrow. It's lots of fun to mix and match them all up!!!
My card base is SU's Whisper White Cardstock cut at 3" x 6" and scored and folded at 3".
I trimmed out a piece of the Pumpkin Pie Corrugated Cardstock at 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" for the background for my sailboat.
With the help of Stampin' Up's Flower Medallion Punch, I punched out two Flower Medallion's from SU's Night of Navy Cardstock and trimmed down two of the larger petals to look like sails. I also trimmed the smaller petal for the top sail.
I also trimmed out the base of the boat from the corrugated and set it on the top of my Night of Navy Ink pad to pick up some of the ink on the ridges of the corrugated.
I fussy cut out one of the ridges in the corrugated for the mast in the boat and some for the stripes on the sail.
All the pieces were adhered to the corrugated piece using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.
I wanted my sailboat scene to look like a night sunset so using my Clear Wink of Stella Brush, I added some sparkle to the Sails' Stripes for a reflection from the water and to the bottom of the corrugated to look like a reflection of the sunset making sparkling water.
The corrugated piece was adhered to the card base using Stampin' Up's Stampin' Dimensionals.
I added two of the cool enamel stars (FAVE) to the sails and one to the boat.
I stamped Dad on the front of my card using SU's Night of Navy Ink.
Phew...O.K. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! =)
For the inside of my card, I put 3 of the stamps (Happy, Birthday and one of the Hearts) on my block and stamped it using SU's Night of Navy ink. I love how these stamps are separate so you can put any of the stamps next to each other on your block and change them up.
I was so happy with this card that I made two!!! =)
Well, that's all I have for today. Please come back Monday when I'll share another card Stampin' Up Many Manly Occasions Alternate Card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I am entering my card in the Paper Pumpkin Challenge at http://mypumpkinchallenge.blogspot.com/ when the challenge opens up in June.
I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes. My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit. I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but, PLEASE be considerate of others creativity! Thank you!
