Stampin' Up 2016-2017 Catalog Sneak Peek Swirly Bird Pop of Paradise Love & Affection

And, another beautiful day in Michigan.  Lots and lots of sunshine this week and I've sure been enjoying it.

Today, I'm sharing a Sneak Peek of a card that I created with the new Stampin' Up Love & Affection, Swirly Bird and Pop of Paradise Stamp Sets that are available to order June 1st.

Let's take a look:

Yes - that is a ton of fussy cutting!  I love to fussy cut and I cut all the leaf stems, berry stems, flowers, ferns and the bird.  So worth all the effort.

My card base is Stampin' Up's new Flirty Flamingo Cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored and folded at 5-1/2".

My card front panel is a piece from the retiring Farmers Market Designer Series Paper cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and adhered to my card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I trimmed out a couple pieces measuring 3/4" x 4" and adhered them to the card front panel with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.  I wanted my card front to look like a fence and I think I achieved what I was going for.

I die cut the long piece in SU's new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits with Chocolate Chip Cardstock and adhered it to the right side of my card front panel with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.  I thought this die cut looked like a trellis.  I think it would look cool used in a water scenario as it kind of looks like waves also.  I'll give it a try maybe next week and see how it looks as water.

Using SU's new Love & Affection Stamp Set, I stamped the large and medium flowers on SU's Very Vanilla Cardstock with SU's new Flirty Flamingo Ink.  I stamped the flower centers in SU's Chocolate Chip Ink.

With a Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker, I lightly colored in the flower centers.

I used my Petal Roller Tool to go around my flower petals to give them some depth and curl to the petals.  I adhered my flowers to my trellis using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I filled the flower centers with SU's Crystal Effects to give them a shine and let that dry.

Using my Clear wink of Stella Brush, I went over all the little dashes in the flower centers to give them a glittery shine.  LOVE how all the flowers turned out!!!

The leaf stems from Love & Affection Stamp Set were stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock using SU's new Emerald Envy Ink.  And, the berry stems were stamped on Very Vanllia Cardstock using Chocolate Chip Ink.  I adhered these randomly throughout the trellis using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I stamped the two BIG ferns from SU's new Pop of Paradise Stamp Set in Emerald Envy Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock.  I fussy cut them out and adhered them to my card front panel using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.  I brushed Clear Wink of Stella in the lighter lines of each fern to give them a light, glittery shine.

I stamped the Hello sentiment from Pop of Paradise Stamp Set in Chocolate Chip Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Using SU's 1-1/4" Circle Punch, I punched the sentiment out.  I then punched a circle from Very Vanilla Cardstock using SU's 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  I adhered the two circles together using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and to the ferns on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped the cute little bird from SU's new Swirly Bird Stamp Set on Very Vanilla Cardstock using Chocolate Chip Ink.  I adhered the bird to the top board using a Stampin' Dimensional and added the smallest Basic Jewel Pearl for its eye.

Phew...it was a lotta' work to make the card and to write it up for a blog post!!!

I LOVE how my card turned out.  I'm such an animal and flower fanatic!

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great weekend!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
