Stampin' Up 2016-2017 Catalog Sneak Peek Playful Palette Swirly Scribbles Thoughtful Banners

Oh gosh, what a gorgeous day outside this morning.  It was such a cold weekend with it actually getting into the low 30's at night.  The wind made it feel even more colder during the day.  And, we even saw a few renegade snowflakes Saturday morning.  Ewwwww........  We are supposed to get an afternoon rain and then the sun is supposed to come back out, hopefully!!!

If you haven't seen the new catalog yet; just let me tell you, it's over-the-top amazing!  Such awesome, new and unique stamps, papers, die's, accessories and much, much more!  I feel that Stampin' Up has really outdone themselves on this one.

I received my pre-order and got to play with some of the new product over the weekend.  What fun!  I can't wait to order again on June 1st.  There's so much fun opportunity and growth for learning with the new catalog.  Even the title of my blog post was fun to type the new names of product.

Let's take a look at the first card I designed with some of the new Stampin' Up goodies:

What awesome color!!!  I'm absolutely in LOVE with the new In-Colors and the new Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack.

My card base is one of the five new 2016-2018 In-Colors called Sweet Sugarplum.  I cut it at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored and folded at 4-1/4".

My card front panel is SU's new Playful Palette DSP cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and adhered to my card base with Stampin' Dimensionals after the banners, vellum, swirly scribbles and ribbon were adhered (described later in this blog post).

You can see 3 of the new 2016-2018 In-Colors in the DSP; Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum.  The other two In-Colors are called Dapper Denim and Flirty Flamingo and I'll share those two new colors with you on tomorrow's blog post.

I trimmed out 3 banners; SU Basic Black Cardstock at 4-1/2" x 7/8", Playful Palette DSP at 2-3/4" x 3/4" and Sweet Sugarplum at 1-1/2" x 1/4".  Using SU's Triple Banner Punch, I punched one end on each banner and adhered them to my card front panel using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

Using SU's 2-1/2" Circle Punch, I punched a circle from SU's Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack (Retiring) and adhered it over my banners with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using SU's new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Die's, I die cut a swirly scribble from SU's new Emerald Envy and Peekaboo Peach.  I adhered the larger Emerald Envy swirly scribble and center Peekaboo Peach swirly scribble over the vellum circle using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

The Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Die's coordinate with an adorable, new SU Stamp Set called Swirly Bird.

I adhered a piece of SU's new Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Ruched Ribbon, available in all In-Color colors June 1st, to the back of my card front panel with SU's Fast Fuse and tied the ends together in a knot centered over the swirly scribble.

Using SU's new Stamp Set called Thoughtful Banners, I stamped the banner and sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum Ink on Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock.

I punched the banner out using SU's new Duet Banner Punch and adhered it above the swirly scribble using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I randomly adhered some of SU's Basic Jewel Rhinestones on the banner and the swirly scribble.

I die cut a butterfly from Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock using SU's Butterflies Thinlits Die.

I pulled some black threads from SU's Bermuda Bay/Basic Black Thick Bakers Twine and adhered it around the butterflies body and to my card front panel using Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using SU's 1/8" Handheld Punch, I punched some circles from Playful Palette DSP and adhered them to my butterfly using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

I'm so happy with the way this card turned out.  It's full of color and uses lots of new Stampin' Up product.

That's all I have for today.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Please come back tomorrow when I'll share another new Sneak Peek from Stampin' Up's new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog!
