Stampin' Up 2016-2017 Catalog Sneak Peak Helping Me Grow Fabulous Flora Gift From the Garden Timeless Textures

Today is going to be the best day outside yet this year!  It's supposed to be all sun with a high of 76.  Let's hope that stays true although we could really use the rain which is on its way this Wednesday all the way through this Saturday.  Oh boy!  I will be getting a lot of indoor work done and lots of paper crafting!  =)

I designed another Sneak Peek card from Stampin' Up's 2016-2017 Catalog.  This time I used SU's Helping Me Grow, Timeless Textures and Gift From the Garden Stamp Sets that are returning from last seasons annual catalog and a new Hostess Stamp Set called Fabulous Flora.

Let's take a look:

Check out those plants from Stampin' Up's new Hostess stamp set called Fabulous Flora.  No wonder they named it "Fabulous"!!!

My card base is SU's Crumb Cake Cardstock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored and folded at 4-1/4".

My card Front Panel is from the new SU Designer Series Paper called Affectionately Yours and cut at 4" x 5-1/4".  The DSP has two Specialty papers in it with Copper Foiling.  Right on trend!

I cut a piece of Farmer's Market DSP (retiring) with the hardwood boards on it for a Center Panel on my card.

I punched out the flower pots from SU's Watermelon Wonder and Macaron Mint Cardstock using SU's Decorative Label Punch and a retired Tag Punch.  I cut the Watermelon Wonder Decorative Label piece in half to get two flower pots.  Using SU's Timeless Textures Stamp Set (one of my FAVE sets), I stamped the pots in Memento Black Ink.  I brushed Wink of Stella on the flourish on the Mint Macaron flower pot although I couldn't capture the glittery shine in the picture.  Very pretty and it just glistens in person.  I adhered the two Watermelon Wonder flower pots with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and the Mint Macaron flower pot with Stampin' Dimensionals leaving the tops free to insert the plant stems.

Using the ink to stamp technique, I colored the plant stamp from Fabulous Flora Stamp Set with SU's Emerald Envy and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers, huffed on the stamp and stamped it on Very Vanilla Cardstock.

I used a blender pen and Emerald Envy Ink to color in the plant's leaves.

I fussy cut the plants and stems out separately and adhered them to my card with Mono Multi-Purpose Glue and some of the leaves with Stampin' Dimensionals to give them some random depth.

I stamped the gloves, boots and shovel from SU's Gift From the Garden Stamp Set on Very Vanilla Cardstock; boots in Memento Black Ink, Gloves in Flirty Flamingo and the shovel in Smoky Slate and Chocolate Chip Inks.  I adhered everything to my card using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue except I gave the bottom of the shovel some height with a small piece of Stampin' Dimensional.

It really took me a while to figure out what sentiment that I wanted to use.  I finally decided on this little frame from SU's Helping Me Grow Stamp Set and the Hello sentiment from Fabulous Flora Stamp Set.  Both were stamped in Night of Navy Ink.  I fussy cut the frame out and adhered it to my card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I really had fun designing this card as I LOVE gardening, plants and flowers.  I also LOVE to sit and fussy cut as you can tell by my last couple blog posts.

That's all I have for today.  Hope you enjoyed my blog post and can come back to visit again tomorrow!

Have a great day!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges and using them for their own card classes.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
