Stampin' Up Owl Love Blossoms Curvy Keepsakes Box Valentine's Day Treat Holders

We are supposed to get scattered snow flurries today through Thursday.  Hope we don't get a lot of snow and that we have an early Spring.  It's supposed to get colder too with a high of 15 this Friday and Saturday.  Hope that changes!  My arthritis just doesn't like the cold anymore!

I brought back the Love Birds again today and lots of them!  I made these darling little Hershey Kiss treat holders.  Perfect little gifts for your Valentine's.

I'll share how I made these towards the end of my post:

I used Stampin' Up's Owl Builder Punch to make all my LOVE Birds.  The body and the middle of the eye's are from SU's Crumb Cake Card Stock.  The outside of the eye is SU's Whisper White Card Stock and the pupils are SU's Basic Black Card Stock.

The LOVE Birds' dresses and vests are from SU's Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Packs.

The little hearts and the treat holders bases are from SU's Blushing Bride and Rose Red Card Stock.

I used two different SU ribbons to tie my bows and close my treat holders.  I used 1/4" cotton Ribbon in Blushing Bride and 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon in Rose Red.

My sentiment is from last year's Monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit called Filled With Love.  You can still get the refill kits; but, the full kit that includes the stamp set is sold out.  Sorry!  I stamped my sentiment in SU Rose Red ink on SU Whisper White Card Stock.

I used SU's Sweetheart Punch to punch out all my heart sentiments.

After my LOVE Birds were all assembled, I adhered them to the front of my treat holder using Stampin' Dimensionals while sticking the point of a punched heart in between the dimensional and the treat holder.

I put a SU Glue Dot on the bottom of two Hershey Kisses and adhered them to the inside bottom of my treat holder.

It was fun making packages up with candy, cards and these little treat holders to mail to my Niece and the kids and a few good friends.  I just know they will love them!

I die-cut two of the handle pieces from SU's Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die and trimmed off the bottom at the original score line.  I scored the bottom as shown in the picture above.  I lined the bottom of the die-cut piece up with the 1 1/4" mark on the RIGHT side of the cut/score groove on my Stampin' Trimmer and scored both pieces.

I then adhered the bottoms of the two scored die-cut pieces together using Mono Multi-Purpose Glue.

And, there you have it!  You can embellish until your heart's desired.  So many idea's with so many of SU's products to pretty them up!!!  Enjoy!!!

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  Please be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
