Stampin' Up Love Blossom Owls Valentine's Day Card II - Sweet Stack

Today is a much more calmer day for me!  The weather is very calm today too!  I finally got lot's of rest and I'm not working on the re-modeling of my old craft room upstairs today.  I'm taking a well deserved break!!!

I would like to thank Ursula for leaving a comment on my January 25 blog post.  I'm so glad that you are enjoying my blog, cards and projects.  I did call Stampin' Up and Ursula, you are so right.  MEH means indifference!  Like it doesn't matter to a person if Valentine's Day comes around or not.  So, I will definitely be giving my Hubby a different card for Valentine's Day.  I surely don't want him to think that I'm indifferent to Valentine's Day as I really like my candy and roses!!!  =)  Thanks again Ursula for your kind comments and allowing me to learn something new.  I love to learn (especially when it comes to Stampin' Up)!  =)

O.K., my two LOVE bird's are back again!  Let's take a peek:

Today, Ms Owl is sporting a new dress from Stampin' Up's Love Blossom's Designer Series Paper Pack.  I'm LOVIN' the design's and coordinating colors in this paper pack.

So, yesterday, my card base was SU's Blushing Bride Card Stock and today I used SU Rose Red Card Stock.  I have another Love Bird card for Monday's blog post, so can you guess what color card base I will be showing you on Monday?

My card is exactly like yesterday's blog post except for color and the sentiment.  I had a real hard time choosing sentiments as so many of SU's sentiments work so perfect for Valentine's Day.  I ended up deciding on a sentiment from SU's Sweet Stack Stamp Set (wow...say that 3 times in a row real fast) and it can be found on page 66 in SU's annual catalog.

There is also the SU Sweet Stack Project Kit that coordinates with the Sweet Stack Stamp Set that can be found on page 152 of SU's annual catalog.

Below are a couple pic's from when I made the Sweet Stack Cake when the 2015-2016 SU catalog first came out.

It took a long time to make the cake project; but, it came together beautifully.  And, it was so big for my space that I couldn't capture the cake in one picture so I have two pictures; one of the top and one of the bottom of the cake.

I ended up putting just a fine line of Mono Multi-Purpose glue on the very top of the back of the flap for the opening of the cake pieces.  That way, you can put your treats in the cake pieces and not ruin them when opening and closing them.

Back to my card...the inside of my card is the same as yesterday's only in SU Rose Red.

I used my Bow Builder Punch to punch the ends of my sentiment piece to make it look like an arrow.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Hope you enjoyed it.  I'll be back on Monday so have a great weekend!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  Please be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!

If you are interested in purchasing Stampin' Up products, you can order from me on-line at www.stampinup.com and please choose me, Lynn Gauthier, as your Demonstrator.

This is my first blog and it is still under construction.  I have yet to receive my Watermark so the picture's are copyright Lynn A. Gauthier, 2015-2016 Stampin' Up.

  1. I'm LOVING both projects Lynn. And many thanks for the clarification on MEH. (even though I like the 'sound' that's made when you say that word......Knowing the meaning is important!)
