It's a beautiful, sunny day outside today in Midland, Michigan.  Our high temp for today is 63F with a low tonight of 45F.  The winds are SW at 10 to 15mph.

On a personal note:  We spent the weekend installing a security system for our house and even tied it into the pole barn.  We have some new neighbors who are harassing us in very odd ways and we have done nothing to initiate this behavior.  They even shoot guns for hours at a time and treat the guns as toys.  Hence, the new security system.  So sad that it has come to this!!!

The most impactful difference between Online Extravaganza and Seasonal Sale is the timeline. Seasonal Sale is happening sooner! Last year’s Online Extravaganza started on November 30 and ended on December 2. This year’s Seasonal Sale will start on November 16 and end on November 18.

My share for today is a Gift Card Holder and Card that I designed using products from Stampin' Up!'s August 3 - January 3, 2022 Mini Holiday Catalog and/or the May 2021-April 2022 Annual Catalog and More.  Let's take a look:

Today, I will mostly be sharing with you how to get one Gift Card Holder and one Card Base, plus more a 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece, from one sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" Cardstock.  (I did not get my Card designed yet as we were quite busy this weekend; my apologizes.)

As you can see from the picture above on the left side, I trimmed out sheets of Cardstock in half lengthwise to measure 4-1/4" x 11".  I then scored them in half widthwise at 5-1/2", folded them in half and these become your Card Bases.

From the second half of the 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Cardstock, I trimmed off 3-1/4" to use for embellishing the Gift Card and/or the Card (this leftover piece measures 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" and is pictured on the upper right of my picture).  I also used up a lot of scraps that accumulate in my studio from paper crafting so much. 

The remaining piece of Cardstock (pictured in the bottom right of my picture) measures 4-1/4" x 7-3/4" and becomes your Gift Card Holder.

I paired my Gift Card Holders and Cards with the Sweet Stockings Suite.  I die cut out Sheets of Cardstock from each coordinating color in the Sweet Stockings 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper; Cherry Cobbler, Bumblebee, Old Olive, Evening Evergreen, Cinnamon Cider, Pool Party and Basic Black.  (That makes for seven Gift Card Holders and seven Card Bases.)

For my Gift Card Holder using the 4-1/4" x 7-3/4" piece of Cardstock:

I scored at 1/4" on each Long Side.

I scored at 2-1/2" on the Short Side.

I put the piece back into my Trimmer and trimmed off the long 1/4" piece on both sides down to the 2-1/2" score line and I snipped it off at the 2-1/2" score line mark.  (You can see in the picture above where the sides are trimmed off.)

I adhered Tear & Tape Adhesive on the remaining 2-1/2" sides and angled the tops slightly as shown in the picture above.

I created my Thumb Hole to be able to remove the Gift Card easier by punching out a half circle as shown in the picture above.  (I used a 1-1/4" Circle Punch.)

I removed the protective liner from the Tear & Tape Adhesive (tucking the taped ends inward) and folding the piece over onto itself as shown in the picture above.

Pictured above is my First Gift Card Holder.  I created this one using Pool Party Cardstock.

My Top Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper is 2-1/4" x 3-1/8" and adhered with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

My Bottom Designer Series Paper is 2" x 3-1/8".  I used my Circle Punch and I just punched out a smaller portion of the half Circle with my Circle Punch. I adhered the DSP with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

Using the Seasonal Labels dies, I die cut out one of the Labels from the leftover piece of Cardstock (the 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece).

Using the Stockings dies, I die cut a small portion of the Tag die from Pool Party Cardstock.

Using the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set, I stamped my Saying in Old Olive Ink.

Using the 3 Star stamp, I stamped stars onto my Label and Saying piece with Pool Party Ink.

I adhered my top Label with Stampin' Dimensionals and the bottom Piece with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I die cut the Stocking from the DSP.

I die cut out the Holly and Berries from Old Olive Cardstock and Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.

I stamped Santa's Hat and the Hamster in Memento Black Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock.

Using my Stampin' Blends, I colored my Hamster in Light and Dark Cinnamon Cider and Petal Pink.  I colored Santa's Hat in Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler.

I die cut out the Hamster and Santa's Hat.  I poked a hole in the top of the Hat, split (2 plies from 4 plies) a length of White Bakers Twine from the Essentials Pack, thread it through the Hole and tied it off at the top.

I adhered the Hat, Hamster, Holly and Berries and the Stocking together with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and to my Gift Card Holder with two Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  (The recipient can remove it from the Gift Card Holder and use it for a Tag or hang it on their Christmas Tree if they want.)

Using the Tag die, I die cut out the Tag from the Pool Party/Checkered Pattern in the Sweet Stocking DSP.  I put the Tag back in the die and die cut off the Pointed so it measured about 3-5/8" x 2-3/8".  I adhered my Gift Card to the back with two Small Glue Dots.

Using the Word Wishes dies, I die cut out my Sentiment from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and adhered it to the Gift Card DSP with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I had some Stars and Hearts leftovers from using the Messages dies so I adhered one Bumblebee Star and one Old Olive Heart to my Gift Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I adhered Cherry Cobbler and Bumblebee Matte Decorative Dots to my Gift Card as shown in the picture above.
