Stampin' Up Sneak Peek 2017 Occasions Catalog Yummy in My Tummy, Sending Love, Sealed with Love, Succulent, Layering Circles, Stitched Shapes, Sweet & Sassy Hearts, - Cards, Envelopes, Card Box - IV

Our temperatures are going to be in the teens for the next couple of days.  We got a dusting of snow yesterday and the strong winds blowing the snow around made it hard to see.  I suppose it iced the roads over too!  I'm glad that I don't have to drive any where today.

The new Stampin' Up 2017 Occasions Catalog went live yesterday and Sale-a-Bration started also; but, Stampin' Up's systems crashed with everyone trying to get on to place orders.  SU's systems finally came back up in the early afternoon.  I'm sure it was very frustrating for them.

My share for today and earlier this week is 6 cards, Envelopes and another Card Box using Stampin' Up's new product from the 2017 Occasions Catalog; Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack, Yummy in My Tummy and Sealed with Love Stamp Sets and Love Notes & Succulent Framelits Dies and  Layering Circles, Stitched Shapes and Sweet & Sassy Hearts Framelits Dies from the Annual Catalog.

Let's take a look at the 6 cards and then the Card Box and Envelopes:

I think you can tell from my recent blog posts that I'm addicted to Stampin' Up's new Yummy in My Tummy and Sealed with Love Stamp Sets and Love Notes Framelits Dies.

The Happy Monster is just my FAVE.  He cracks me up laughing every time I look at his smiling face.

Here are the Envelopes.  I used the Painters Stroke Stamp in SU's Sealed with Love Stamp Set in Blushing Bride Ink, stamped it off once on another piece of cardstock (for use in a future project) and then stamped in on my Envelope for a lighter look.  I then stamped the Hearts in Real Red Ink on top of the Painters Stroke.

And, here is the Card Box.

There are lots of video's out on the web showing how to make card boxes on the Envelope Punch Board and the Stampin' Score Board with the Diagonal Score Plate.  I will briefly walk you through it and if you have any questions, you can e-mail me at dodge3670 at aol dot com.

Here goes:

I trimmed out my Cardstock to measure 11" x 11".
Insert your SU Diagonal Score Plate into your Score Board.
Score 2 opposite sides at 3-1/2" and 5-1/2".
Score the remaining 2 sides at 4-1/2" and 6-1/2".
Trim out the little triangles as shown in the picture above.
Snip your flaps up to the inner most score line as shown in the picture above.

Then, you just fold up the box and use your SU Tear & Tape to adhere.

I also created an extra flap in Blushing Bride Cardstock and adhered it to the opening flap on my Card Box with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I hope that I explained it well enough for you to create your own larger Card Box.

And, here's my Little Buddy again, the Happy Monster!  You can see how I made him in the first blog post in my Happy Monster blog series.  See the links above.

For the Belly Band:
With this Card Box being larger to fit more cards and envelopes, I had to splice the Belly Band.  So, I trimmed out 2 pieces of Real Red Cardstock to measure 1-1/4" x 16".  I adhered the 2 pieces together with SU's Tear & Tape in the back, wrapped it around my Card Box while pinching the edges lightly at each corner and adhered it together in the middle front again with SU's Tear & Tape.  Make sure to leave the Belly Band loose enough that it easily slides off and on the Card Box.

Using SU's Sweet & Sassy Hearts Framelits Dies, I die cut the larger Heart from Soft Sky Cardstock and one from SU's new Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack.

Using SU's new Love Notes Framelits Dies, I die cut 2 Hearts; the Solid Heart Die from Blushing Bride and the Striped Heart Die from Soft Sky Cardstock.  I also die cut the String of Hearts Die from Real Red Cardstock and the Arrow from Whisper White Cardstock.

I adhered the Soft Sky Heart, the Happy Monster and the DSP Heart with Stampin' Dimensionals to my Belly Band.

I adhered the Soft Sky Striped Heart to the Blushing Bride Heart with Mono Multi Purpose Glue and to the DSP Heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I adhered the Real Red String of Hearts to the Soft Sky Striped Heart with Mono Multi Purpose Glue.

I cut my Arrow in half and adhered half of it on top of the Real Red String of Hearts and half of it on the bottom of Blushing Bride Heart.

And lastly, I adhered one of SU's new Sending Love Wood Heart Elements to the Real Red String of Hearts.  Lots and lots of layers and oh-so-cute.

Phew...another project done and I love how it all came together.

So, I hope you got to order your Valentine's and other new Stampin' Up products from the new 2017 Occasions Catalog.  The new catalog runs from January 4, 2017 - May 31, 2017.

And, Sale-A-Bration also began on January 4, 2017 and runs through March 31st.  During
Sale-A-Bration, you get a free item of your choice from the Sale-A-Bration brochure for every $50 you spend (before shipping and tax).

That's all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

PLEASE GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE!

I recently discovered that people are using my cards and/or projects, duplicating them and entering them into challenges, using them for their own card classes and (using them on their blogs as their own creations) - Please give credit where credit is due.  My cards and projects are my own creations and are not to be used in challenges, blog hops, card classes or sold at craft shows; etc., for profit.  I don't mind if you duplicate my creativity to pass on to family members or friends as gifts or Occasions cards; but,  PLEASE be considerate of others creativity!  Thank you!
